It's been almost a month since the last installment of Tales, and I'm very sorry for the delay. About a month ago, my old computer died, taking a good chunk of the comic with it. I've since recovered, and I have a new computer, so Tales will resume it's normal Wednesday updates. As a peace offering, I've made a new wallpaper based on one of today's panels. Enaress sends us this shot of Grim Batol. If you aren't familiar with its history, the short story is that it was once a Dwarven fortress, but is now being held by the Red Dragonflight, who attacks anyone drawing near. Enaress points out that, despite Blizzard's removal of many elite mobs from Azeroth, the guards of Grim Batol are still elites. Why guard a fortress that serves no real purpose, we wonder? (For those of you who appreciate a bit of lore, this shot is also available in wallpaper size.)

Reader Robotusch sends in this shot from the Wetlands in Azeroth's Eastern Kingdoms. And though the Wetlands, a lower level Alliance zone, might not sound like an exciting place, Robotusch informs us, "when you're treated to such a misty twilight, one does have to stop for a second to wonder what the new day will bring for heroes and monsters in the lands of Azeroth." (For those of you who appreciate these twilight hours, the shot is also available in wallpaper size.)

This week's page marks a milestone in the story: the Naga threat has become real, as Kat soon finds out. The events set in motion by today's page will forever alter Kat's life and ultimately change her destiny. How will this all unfold? Time will tell, but there's a good chance you'll find out if you keep reading.

Ah, the rain has finally stopped in Menethil, and the sun has dawned on a new day. Our heroine is left to ponder the events of the previous night, and ultimately decides to report it -- after all, you don't mess around when it comes to Naga.

Reader Chris sends in this informative shot showing the quickest way to get into the Wetlands -- by jumping from Loch Modan, obviously. (Yes, you can also jump down from above Ironforge, but you need some sort of slow fall ability to get far enough.) Like any entertaining jump, this one sends you a long way and is also entirely survivable, because unless you're quite unlucky, you land in a pool of water at the bottom of the falls.

Pahonix of Arthas sent in this shot -- and if you've played for very long, then chances are you can recognize it without me telling you where it came from. Yep -- it's the Wetlands. No other zone has trees with that same odd shape. And the gigantic moon in the background -- I'm sure if you ran into Arathi (the next zone over) it wouldn't look like that. (Perhaps there's a troop of Gnomes out on the coast holding up a huge magnifying glass to make it look that way?)
