WoW Moviewatch: WoW 3K

Forget the fantasy world that you're used to. In VoodooRay's eyes, WoW is the wave of the future -- literally. WoW 3K is a futuristic sci-fi look at the game we all know and love. The man that brought us Moonkins in every way imaginable has supplied us with stormtroopers, bunkers, and plenty of action this time around.

At the end, VoodooRay offers up tidbits about certain scenes. For example, he pushed his computer to the limit by modeling everything except the characters in Adobe After Effects. He actually had to remove some elements in order to function! In another scene, he even had to model it blindly and hope for the best. I think it turned out pretty well given the circumstances.

WoW Moviewatch: 007KIN

VoodooRay, the machinimator with hits such as 300 Moonkins, The Da Moonkin Code, Voyage, and Lolwowcats, took quite a long break from WoW machinima. However, after five months, he's back with 007KIN, the spy who will cause you to flee in terror before you even see a weapon! The only thing this big, bad Moonkin is missing is babes.

It's amazing how good VoodooRay is at implanting Moonkins into movie trailers. Our only complaint is that the video wasn't any longer!

WoW Moviewatch: Lolwowcats

Voodooray has been a busy guy this week. Fresh off the success of Voyage comes lolwowcats, a condensed history of WoW ... illustrated with lolcats. I'm not much of a fan of captioned kittens, but I know that they have a devoted fanbase, so here you go!

From the WoW machinimator that brought you 300 Moonkins comes Voyage, a mixed-media adventure. Voodooray blended music, machinima, and clips from both music videos and real movies to create an alternate reality. In fact, it's so convincing that he had to post what he did to it for us to believe him!

He included scenes from 300, Underworld, and two different music videos. In some of them, he even digitally removed the real actors! Look out for cameos by Salma Hayek, Baron Soosdon's Nikita, and a crazy looking bird.

This is one you're sure to absolutely love or thoroughly hate. Brought to you by the same machinimist who did 300 Moonkins, this reimagining of an old horror movie using a Moonkin as the villain is very interesting. There is mood, mystery and an explanation of who killed JFK. What more can you ask for on a Sunday afternoon?

WoW Moviewatch: 300 Moonkins

Yes, it's been done before, but I haven't seen it done so well. The trailer for this 300 parody makes me actually wish they would adapt the movie for druids. I'd love to see Voodooray would do with the actual film, a la Predatorcraft. Okay, so that hasn't been attempted yet, but we can still enjoy the trailer with it's beautifully done Moonkin stand ins and wonder what might be.
