WoW Moviewatch: A glimpse of Wintergrasp
I'm a little hesitant to feature anything by Devlin. The last time I blogged one of his movies, Vimeo made the announcement that they were removing gameplay videos. Let's hope that he has better luck with Veoh!
Wintergrasp - First Glimpse is a Wrath of the Lich King beta exploration video from build 8770. Devlin checks out some of the vehicles and takes them for a spin. Whether you're into the catapult-like features of the Demolisher, or the circular saw-wielding robotic features of the Shredder, one thing is for certain -- there's something for everyone. While not the most polished production, it's nice to see some of the newest toys in Wintergrasp!

Wow, that's pretty cool. I can't wait to get in there and get swarmed by Alliance for a couple days and then have everybody stop going there because of the faction imbalance on my server.

actually, they are apparently doing some things to balance it so that even if one side is ridiculously overpopulated versus another (or just drastically better) that over time the assaulting side will gain enough NPC and machinery reinforcements that they will take the keep, even if only for a short time.
So, they are trying not to make a repeat of Haala.

Yeah Undermine is the same way. We don't bother with outdoor pvp anymore, it's no fun.

I love the idea of big PVP like WAR or the older AV.
But I just wont see these Lake stuff yet,I dont want to get all hyped up or interested with it just yet.
Not until I see the rewards.
I know that if the rewards are not good, atleast not as good as the current arena season or raid tier its simply not gonna be worth it and it will be like BG or Pugs today full of noobs with no real challenge and boring.

Turn off the new epic music and that's one awkward collection of jejune video clips, unless those machines are really that hard to control properly while keeping your camera trained on your enemy.

Hi, I've heard of a site, seems very promising and all, it's called Utoob or something like that, these machinima guys should give it a shot.
I know, I know, crazy idea, but sometimes we gotta risk it all!

It looks like just a vehicle battle. Not really PvP. The vehicles should only be used for sieging/destroying strategic targets that actually have a reason to be sieged. I have the feeling everyone will just be running around in vehicles and no one will actually be using their character to PvP.

Well, at least targeting has more of a realistic element. Caster classes are going to hate having to aim. /giggle
