Forum Post of the Day: Guide for 8 Mages
Jazle of Barthilas finally gives level 8 mages the guide they need to down those very tough beach murlocs (they are fishmen) in Westfall. According to this rising young star in the Mage community (he's 7 in real life), you need to start at max range, lay in a frostshot and a few fireballs, and 1 more fireball for the killer blow! After that, since he's 4 years above you, you will be bound to get something good soon. This is probably the clearest and easiest guide we've ever read, and as many players say, rare is the Mage who can actually drop a mob 4 levels higher (even at 8). We can't thank Jazle enough for this advice -- we agree he is "bound to get something good soon," and his optimism and earnestness, on the Mage forums, a place normally full of QQ and tears, is totally refreshing.
Oh, and he's right: don't use sheep. It makes their health come back.
Thanks, Dan!

I call shenanigans. First, not many 7 year old boys are going to want to play a female toon, most boys that age would find that idea too "girly" and 7 is too young to want to stare at "fine animated backside". Second, the spelling and grammar mistakes look like someone older trying to impersonate the writing abilities of a child, he misspells "diffikult" but gets the much harder to spell "succesful" correct, uses u and you in the same sentence (I would imagine using one or the other thoughout), spells hahah and hahaa and after the latter does the whole !1 as if he let go of shift too soon. Finally, the only people I have ever seen refer to levels as "years" are Roleplayers who are desperately trying to refer to their level in some in-universe-appropriate fashion (I prefer other words, level does not equal age), and I've met young gamers who know exactly what a level is and that the character can be a different age than their level. Overall good "troll" it got mention here so it must have fooled some people.

You got 'successful' wrong though but you're right, it seems like a troll.

Baiting is a classic trolling technique sure, but I must say I can't recall ever seeing many 'positive' baiting trolls, mainly because trolls live to cause anger, controversy and/or mayhem.
Writing nice and cute and adorable troll posts don't really serve well to achieve that objective...

My 8 year old brother has been playing since he was 6. He's got about 40 alts, but it actually surprises me how many people think he is older than he really is. He can type faster than a lot of adults, and performs very well in dungeons.
I don't find this hard to believe at all.

This forum post is better than most of the posts on the official forums.
A. He has a point. (Other mages have doubtless learned the lessen, but at least this OP remembers that not everyone has been playing as long as he has)
B. It's relevant to the board he posted on.
C. While there are some mistakes in grammer in composition, they do not prevent the reader from understanding, and they of a lesser degree and rarer occurance than most other posts.
D. He was able to present his point without complaining or resorting to personal attacks on other posters.
E. He demonstrated the courage and skill to take on an NPC four levels over him without bragging.
If only more posters could measure up to this criteria, I'd read the official forums on a regular basis.

Even if it is a troll he deserves credit for the sheer unbearable cuteness of it. Its a great reminder of what the game is about, genuine or no
