BlizzCon 2008 panel list revealed

Now that the scramble for tickets is over, it remains for the wounded and battered veterans of the battle against the Fail Murloc to gird themselves and march forward, looking for succor where they can get it.
Luckily, a list of panels for BlizzCon 2008 has been released, giving us something awesome to look forward to as we count down the days. For those of you who can't make it, be sure to check WoW Insider. We'll have liveblogs and notes from each WoW panel so you'll know exactly what was said and how it will affect your gameplaying experience. For the Diablo III and Starcraft II stuff, you'll be able to get the same treatment from our sister site, Joystiq.
Check after the break for a complete list of panel titles.
- World of Warcraft Class Design
- World of Warcraft PvP
- World of Warcraft Art
- World of Warcraft Dungeons & Raids
- World of Warcraft UI and Mods
- Blizzard Cinematics
- Blizzard Sound and Music
- Diablo III Class Design
- Diablo III Game Design
- Diablo III – Lore and Art
- StarCraft II Gameplay
- StarCraft Lore
- StarCraft II Art
Looking back at our BlizzCon predictions, it looks like we're probably right about a New Diablo III class, and the cinematics panel makes me think that we will see some sort of Wrath-related cinematic. I, for one, am in full fanboy mode, and suddenly find myself almost able to forgive Blizzard for the Fail Murloc.
Again, if you can't be there or can't afford the PPV package, expect WoW Insider and Joystiq to be your source for all the juiciest information from these panels. If you can be there, we'll see you at BlizzCon!

You guys should cover how pissed people are at blizzard for making so hard to buy a ticket.

Honestly they didn't make it much harder than last year.
Only thing they changed this year was the announcement of an exclusive blizzcon mount that you can Ebay for +500 USD easily.

This may sound extremely cynical but the fact that there has been no blue response to the still-growing angry thread on the official forum may be a reason why there's no coverage on this elsewhere.

I think WoWinsider should take this moment to speak for it's readers - people are not happy that tickets were handled the way that they were. Many in the community feel that they were not shown any respect.
Voice that.

Yes, this.
And from my understanding, in the past they didn't have the same kind of website troubles. One thing to blame it on an increased demand, but increased demand didn't make it so I couldn't buy them the moment they went on sale.

Stop your goddamn whining. Christ. The worst part of it is the xclusive crap like the mounts and Beta keys. that shit pisses me off. I can watch the panels and stuff later. Sure, I don't get to BE there, but either way because of the limited number of tickets it would have been hard to go to the show.
You will all live if you don't get to go to BlizzCon. There is always the next one. Maybe next year will have it expanding to several cities. BLIZZCON IN SEATTLE DAMNIT!

Really?! I am one of the lucky ones who got their ticket, but a guildie of mine who I was planning on attending with did not.
Anywho, back on topic... I agree with the cinematic for wrath and new classes for diablo, but what do you think might be reveled for starcraft2?

Actually, they should cover things that actually matter, like the game.

They should have sold tickets via a lottery.

I guess i was just lucky. my wife pretty much got online and bought the tickets on monday around noon with almost no issues. i do feel bad for anyone not able to go that really wanted to(and had the money, its gonna cost me around 2500 altogether), but i have a feeling just like the bow issue from last week, theres ALOT of peeps whining about this that have no business complaining. im not trying to fight, im just saying, like me for the last 2 blizzcons, how many of you could/would REALLY be able to go??.
..FYI the mount item is being givien to direct tv ppv subscribers too i heard.

Funny. They don't have a gripe session at the con like some others do? Imagine the attendance to that one if they did.

seems like a pretty dull list of event. no dance or costume or voice contests. hardy any sc or d3 stuff. for $100 it should be a full event not just a half day worth of stuff.
leads me to believe as in the past, they are not releasing the full schedule

Guess there's no need for a WOW lore panel. The game's lore has been flushed down the toilet, in exchange for disco balls, motorcycles and whatever cutesy things they can put in.
