however, rogues are pretty much the most OP offensive PvP class in the entire game right now. they sorely deserve it

if you are a rogue and you do not agree, go on, try rolling another class and see how you fare. yes, other classes can beat a decent rogue... but in order to do so they need to pull out pretty much every trick in the book (along with a bit of luck to boot)

As a sub rogue I think this change was absolutely necessary. I enjoyed the old cheat death while it lasted, but as it enabled an unprecedented, extreme use of the more offensively budgeted PVE gear (T6 + Glaives) in arena it became imbalanced.

It's natural for rogues to be upset but anyone with a modest understanding of balance issues has to recognize this change as justified.

As a Rogue and using the sub tree... i still have to agree with dersunde, this change was necessary to address the balancing issues.

we had it easy for so long, and to be honest i'll agree it was more than a little overpowered. but as this only really affects SUB rogues, i don't agree with the statement "Rogue's are unhappy" thats generalising that ALL rogues are crying over this.. those that spec Assassination and Combat aren't gonna be bothered either way to be completely honest. And those of us Sub rogues with half a brain and a maturity to understand the need, fully accept the change.

hey it still allows us to Cheat Death! you may only have 10% health but it still allowed you to cheat death and vanish and live to fight another day.. rather that than the GY rez.

for those crying over this change, don't. instead learn to adapt your fightin style to compensate it. If you were relyin on cheat death as a means to an end then you really need to assess your technique or be ridiculed and labelled a nub.

At least they kept their pvp nerfs out of my pve tree this time. -_-

It kind of reminds of that time hunters had their entire mana regen nerfed. It affected every hunter, all the QQing in the world, and still no one gave a shit. The only difference being, of course, is that rogues are OP in pvp. :)

psshhh... rogues can get pissed off all they want... they still are op as hell with their damn stunlock and cloak of skill... if any rogue ability needs to be nerfed, that one does...

at least they dont have to deal with having one extremely broken defense mechanism to work with that everyone whines about anyway so blizz will never fix your class... in other words locks...

no one whines about stuns and yet they are way worse and way less preventable... but whatever... qq more rogues... your tears are delicious... now lets just hope mages and huntards are next...

I guess I'll have to wait until WotLK for throwing multiple knives. I think rogues need a THROWN buff as when we have to Vanish and distance ourselves from melee range until a heal comes along, we are useless...

Stunlock isn't a '1 button move', and theres a lot more ways to get out of stuns other then tricketing (eg, blink, pally bubble etc.) If your being brought down to half health during one stunlock then l2Resilience.

Vanish doesnt work, so your point is invalid.

for diaz - strangely enough you mention the two classes that can defeat stunlocking sort of. Mages can blink out of it, but there's nothing stopping a rogue from sprinting up to start doing it again.

Generally on my warlock if I don't get the jump on a rogue (which is hard because they are nearly invisible) I have zero ways to get out of a stunlock short of a trinket - and once I'm out I have one thing to get a rogue away from me so I can land fear (so the rogue can immediately trinket out and go back to killing me) - death coil which has a 2 minute cd.

Its really kinda messed up to be honest...

And they should be thankful that I am not the one nerfing them or they would removed from the game entirely and replaced with Hello Kitty's Badzt-Maru.

I don't know about anybody else but vanish always seems to work against me, and speaking from someone who plays on a pvp server, l2Resilience is a duh statement for bg's and Arena but I shouldn't have to be in S4 gear just to do a group quest in Netherstorm. But I do think the nerf will hurt some 2v2 rogue Arena teams that relied on the high survivabilty against burst damage with no need for healing
