Mages deserve some love. Providing hundreds of biscuits and polymorphing adds for your raid is sure to take a toll on even the hardiest of magi. Not to mention removing curses, stealing buffs, and making everyone temporarily smarter. Oh yeah, there's that damage dealing thing they do too.
So take some time to express some gratitude for your under-appreciated arcane ally by conjuring up this custom photo frame.
Here is what you will need:
- Scrapbook Frame
- Acrylic Paint
- Soft Glitter Paint
- Scrapbook Paper
- Fine Glitter
- Gems (also used in the Voidwalker Doorknob Hanger)
- Mod Podge
- Wooden Letters
- Wooden Sheep Shape
- Ribbon
- Scissors
- Xacto Knife
- Paper Cutter
- Pencil
- Toothpicks
- Paintbrushes

either the news has been pretty slow for the past 2 weeks (other than WWI) or WoWInsider is turning into WoWCraftInsider

The only thing that would make this more awesome is that if instead of a screenshot, the frame had a picture of a real midget in it.

Please, for the sake of my sanity, stop showing this stuff. It's now moved away from real life versions of in game items to just some vaguely wow related hobbycraft. Please just return to showing it to the others on your Wednesday night craft class ;)

A freind of an Undead Mage said...
I have an Undead Mage. Can anyone really see that frame being used for the picture of an undead with all the glitter and gems?
If I would try to put a picture of him in that, he will find a way to teleport to earth, just to make me understand how offended he is. His way of making me understand will probably include a fireball or two. No thanks!

Change the colors, to something darker, splatter on some dark red paint for blood, remove the glitter and use some tiny skulls instead of gems and I think it could totally be a frame for an undead mage.
Personally I'm thinking about taking this idea, and making it warlock based. Think they make tiny wooden felguard cut-outs? Maybe I'll just find a pony and make it flaming.
It's a really fun idea that's totally customizable. There are a lot of people who enjoy your posts Shelbi, don't worry about the QQers.

Oh no! Something that's not about what some people would rather read! Good thing they took action to pick on it and make snide comments rather than opting to just not read it.
Here's a bit of reality folks... WoW Insider is not written for you and you alone. Do you honestly think that if this article never existed, there would be a different one in its place that you'd be more interested in? Well, there wouldn't be. There just wouldn't be a new post at all. Better a post *some* people are interested in than nothing at all... you selfish twits :P

Shouldn't the mage in the picture be crying?

We can only hope.
It's not the content really that bugs me about this. Is the increasing number of posts of this type. You are right, I normally just ignore them. But, there's now a newer post about banana bread or something. We get it... it is possible to make things that have a passing resemblance to something in wow, please now drop it to maybe once a month or something.

Shelbi! Another absolutely awesome idea! I've been working on a bunch of things for my girlfriend (all started when you posted the clay Yeti and I managed to make my druid in the same fashion). Each week I've been doing a craft similiar to yours, but gearing it towards her boomkin...I can't wait to give it to her! I'll be sure to post my collection too after it's safely in her hands.

It's an MMO, not CNN. Sometimes there just isn't enough to write about WoW, and in place of notable news there are fillers. I for one like Shelbi's crafts, and am a frequent visitor to the Bronze Kettle. Some of her crafts are better than others, but she pretty much has to make a new craft on a weekly basis and I know that I wouldn't be able to do it, because I'm just not that creative.
I think the frame is cute.

Very well done craft. Love the sheep on the frame.
