The comic this week was inspired by an email received from fellow blogger,
Robin about something
Krystalle says in response to a (sadly) common misspelling over chats. So dual credit for nudging me in that direction, ladies. I had to run with it once I had the starting idea in my head.
The truth is, I am very grateful to both of my fellow bloggers in sparking this idea in my head. I hope they find the result of Robin's email fun, and I look forward to warping more ideas from them in the future.
I guess this could also be another comic where I once again jump on the
WotLK bandwagon and pick fun at some of the planned, and rumored,
additions in my own little way. I always knew gingers cheated! ... or at least had better gear than me.
See you next week!
Barrens Chat is a weekly comic strip that leads readers into a rather random world of humor. Whether it's finding fun in the torment of others, or just taking a mental break and delighting in the warm, friendly humor of a childhood acquaintance, there's bound to be a little something for everyone. Check back every week for more random fun!

Is rogues intentionally spelled wrong? Due to it being 'barrens chat'. Even if it wasn't, I suppose you can claim that was the case.

Another unfunny Barrens Chat. Seriously, the only one I've even smirked at was where that guy was filling in. Please please let them do another one. These may be ok animated (although not that well tbh), but the punchlines are incredibly terrible. /silly used to be funny, Barrens Chat never has been.

That is not constructive criticism. Go away.

Any critisism is constructive if you have a thick skin. If people become offended by people's comments, then they shouldn't post in the first place. The internet is an ocean swimming with jerks and bastards, don't expect to dip your foot in without it getting bit off.

@Edboy
Apparently we have to define what "Constructive Criticism" means for you. Constructive criticism as I meant it in my post, is:
Criticism not intended to demean, or offend, but to provide assistance towards achieving something.
The original poster states that the comics are not well done and that they've never been funny. He does not offer anything constructive, and neither, might I add, do you.
And on your analogy of the internet. I agree that some people are out there who abuse freedom of speech, citing it as an excuse to be ignorant and verbally unkind to others. It is not right to do so, nor should we just stand by and watch it happen.
/end tirade. :D

i strongly agree
the punchlines make me wince
i don't see the point of just reserving the comments section for only bland praise. i express my opinion that the comic is extremely unfunny in hopes that the humor will be better in future comics. should i be adding an ingratiating tone? surely we can't be expected to write the jokes.

I had to read it twice, then consult the Comments, just to get the joke - but yes, 'Rouge' and 'Rogue' are not the same thing at all. An annoying typo.

Yeah, same here. Though I constantly give people shit in the game when they type that. "What? You were pwned by make-up? L2P n00b!"

Her''s my idea for a comic, someone, draw it up for me.
Panel one, 3 brave level 58 hordeys venture through the Dark Portal into Outland for the first time, they are surprised to be greeted by the horde and alliance working together
Panel two, the leader of the Horde forces says something to the like of "Welcome to Outland! as you can see, here the threat of the Burning Legion is so great that the Horde and Alliance put aside our petty differences and fight shoulder to shoulder in brave battle against terrible evil! Quickly, now, to Thrallmar, Nazgrel awaits your assistance!"
Panel Three, with the caption 'One wyvern later'
Nazgrel, to our adventurers " Honor guide you, brave souls, you have arrived just in time! The alliance scum of Honor Hold are taking to some towers we randomly found in this place! THIS WILL NOT STAND! SLAY THE HUMANS!"
