Just in case you were worried about whether or not you'd see Level 70 Elite Tauren Chieftain live at Blizzard's upcoming Worldwide Invitational event in Paris, worry no more -- they'll be there. Both L70ETC and the Video Games Live orchestra will be performing at WWI, just as they did last year at BlizzCon '07.Should be a great show on both counts. Does make us wonder, though, what Blizzard is planning for BlizzCon this year -- a repeat of last year's performance would be nice and all (and we have no doubt that no matter who else plays, L70ETC will definitely have to be there, considering that they're made up of Blizzard employees), but maybe we'll get some new blood in the mix? Jonathan Coulton is definitely a name that springs to mind -- even if he's not specifically a Blizzard guy, his music is very familiar to WoW fans of all levels.
Who else could they hire? Nyhm? Felicia Day to host? As fun as Jay Mohr was, seems like after all the taunting last time, he just might be trouble to get again -- Blizzard might as well choose someone that WoW fans want to see.

Felicia Day would be the PERFECT host. Jay Mohr blew it last time, he didn't even know anything about the game! And I'd love to see Jonathan Coulton play!

Um, going with that intent, can someone tell me why 70 Chieftan is playing again? The only groups that might want to see this audio abomination are the deaf and/or tasteless.

I enjoyed it. I'd hope they'd bring new songs, but I'd see L70ETC again if I was going to BlizzCon.

God bless you Mike. I can't see it.
Some of the artists on my phone now are:
Greatest Hits: Classical Piano
Mindless Self Indulgence
Rammstein
Don Henley
Pink Floyd
Del Castillo
Blizzard Brothers Inc.
The Pogues
Thus I try not to pideon-hole myself into any particular genre. I'm curious to see what Disturbed puts forth in the next week, as well as Metallica at the end of the summer.
Older and wiser, I've revisted a lot of the stuff from my youth "Aces High" (IM) and "Bloodstone" (JP) and asked, "What the hell was I thinking?" and for those of you who need that explained, I'll be brief: It's trite.
But 70 Chieftan, they're completely unrefined and completely lacking in maturity from a music standpoint, and the vocals are just caustic.
I'd rather PUG Heroic MT with green gear wearers than listen to 70 Chieftan, and I listen to The Pogues. *shrug*

Preach on, Mug, preach on. Why does "Chieftain" (I refuse to call them by their acronym) even exist?
Also, I second the blessings upon Mike. He needs them to fend off the daily Schramm-hate. I voted his comment up, and I think you should, too, because everyone is entitled to their opinion. (But, in my opinion, "Chieftain" is just annoying.)

Yeah, I love me some Thrash Metal, but they are undone by their below average vocalist.
