I like starmixx's idea from WoW LJ: whenever she's driven nuts by something in game, she just steps away and does some baking. To tell the truth, I've gotten pretty good at avoiding my ingame annoyances -- I don't really PuG all that much anymore, and I mostly avoid group quests (or just stay patient enough until someone I know can help me finish them). But sooner or later, we're all going to hit our heads up against something that happens in game, and then it's a good time to walk away and... do what?I personally find that going for a walk helps me clear my head -- nothing reminds me that "this is just a game" more than actually going out in the real world for a while. But I like that starmixx's plan is so productive -- you get de-stressed and get to have cupcakes? That's pretty win.
What do you do when the game drives you nuts? Some of the folks in the LJ thread don't even leave the game -- they log an alt or just go fishing for a while. What's your plan when something in Azeroth makes you crazy?

Every time a Shaman enters 2v2 they'll be a sharp rise in Cupcake eating, therefore reducing the life expectancy of Shaman players in the long run.

Trying to run any BGs Alliance side on the Vengeance battlegroup drives me nuts. Nothing like getting your marks one at a time. I deal with it by yelling at my monitor.

I'm currently grinding my epic land mount pvp style and am finding my battlegroup (rampage) isn't so good at it. Its taken me 3 days of 2-4 hours of grinding out marks to get my black war kodo for this character

Oh and as for frustration, I usually throw in a dip, spin around in my chair, and play my guitar for a few minutes.
The combination of music and nicotine will easily sooth the soul.

I watch TV. It keeps my thoughts busy enough that they have no chance of simmering over what angered me, and at the same time demands no mental effort. this being great relaxiation.

When I get fed up with WoW I go play better balanced PvP games and remember what using skill is like.

I log off when the game gets to be too much of a headache. I haven't logged onto my main in three weeks thanks to guild stuff, burnout through repetition, and Blizzard's Esport initiative.

If I'm feeling lazy, I'll sit around and do some reading or get some friends together on XBL. If I'm feeling proactive, I'll go outside for a run.

Log onto an alt more often than not. My normal frustrations are when I get a quest that requires me to do something with a world object that causes every mob in range to aggro at once. This is usually instant death for my character, which causes me some good ol' unhealthy frustration.

I agree with #7..
When I get sick of the the stun lock, fear, stun, fear and whatever other "character control" b.s. happens to roll down on me I go play a real pvp game.
Then I come back and pve again.

Oh I don't know. Hit the gym perhaps? Maybe take a 30 minute walk/jog? Perhaps 3 sets of 10 push ups could be a start. Or just look up healthy eating habits.

I'm a masochist I suppose. Although I have something like 21 alts spread across five servers, plenty of laundry and housework to catch up on, and rarely sleep more than three hours a day... if something is truely frustrating me in the game I am very likely to just keep beating my head against it until I win. I very much believe that I will overcome whatever it is on the next try, nope, next one.... dang it, gotta run back to my body, but I'll get him this time, crap, one more then I quite... nope had him down to 4%, I got him this time.. just need to repair but I'm going to own this gu... damn, one more, frickin A, last time... Dangit... almost had him there... I gotta pee... after this shot... I wonder if those Depends are comfortable, DAMNIT stupid ganking prick, and I almost had the guy when that whored ass killed me... friggin A!!! Where is he?
At which point I won't give up until I kill that whored prick.... no matter how long it takes. I'm very very focused... unless I get distracted.
