As you may recall, during yesterday's Around Azeroth, I requested submissions for today's Glitchstravaganza -- a celebration of all things glitchy in WoW. The response was so good that it was difficult picking out the top five. I gave consideration to UI placement, uniqueness of the bug, and overall visual impact of the picture. I cropped a couple, as we had some technical difficulties with the gallery on this one and had to rely on the smaller shots instead.
Finally, we had five photos that dealt with five different bugs. An honorable mention goes to Fulminate of Dragonmaw-US, who sent in the sixth-best bug: the arakkoa to the right of us, who appears to have mated with a member of the Consortium and gone into a sort of half-existence.
Ready to move on to the top five? Read on past the jump for the contenders, and the final poll, where you can pick your favorite of the featured glitches (including the first one.) Polling continues until April 24; the winner will be honored next Friday.

Our first contestant is Akussa of <Mystical Enforcers> on Ravencrest. She states that the screenshots were actually taken by her guildmate Reck, who then shared them on the forums. The bug randomly caused humanoids to turn a) naked and b) bright green. People with shoulder and head armor kept them, creating some interesting tableaux.

This glitch, captured by Guydebord of <Suicidal Tendencies> on Gnomeregan, is a fairly common one -- I've had people, ground and buildings disappear on me at various times too. But this is a truly odd mix of items to be left behind: a castle, some banners, a couple of trees, various walls, and that little idiot who runs around Stormwind with his sister's doll. Creepy kid.

Hey, Gnatt of <Vanquished> on Dath'Remar! What time is it? Time to buy a new video card, if your character selection screen looks anything like this. Either that, or you've just entered a very choppy version of the Emerald Dream.

Rhodarr of <no way out> on Nera'thor-EU snagged this screenshot from a guildmate, dubbing it "The true nature of the blood elves." Looks like his computer figured out what the orcs, tauren and trolls are too dense to get -- the Sin'dorei's only true allies are the Forsaken. The red goatee is a nice touch, too.

And finally, this pic is from Chris, of an unknown character and server (if you see this, write in and remind us, Chris!) He recently took advantage of the "infinite pets" bug to create an army of mechanical dragonlings and robot chickens. It's a pretty formidable sight, and since they can all attack, it's a nice tactical advantage for AV.
Do you have any unusual World of Warcraft images that are just collecting dust in your screenshots folder? We'd love to see it on Around Azeroth! Sharing your screenshot is as simple as e-mailing aroundazeroth@wowinsider.com with a copy of your shot and a brief explanation of the scene. You could be featured here next!
Remember to include your player name, server and/or guild if you want it mentioned. We prefer full screen shots without the UI showing. And please, no more sunsets.

Lol... Gnatt's photo totally looks like the Matrix...
Maybe the Matrix Online should have tried that... maybe would have lasted longer than a month.

Am I the only one who thinks the BElf/Undead Hybrid looked more like The Terminator. I took one look at it and that sinister grin made me wonder if Skynet are sending T-800's back to assassinate all the level 1 BElf Legolas namesake noobs. :P

Maybe Saurfang is destined to lead the Azerothian peoples to ultimate Victory over the machines. Perhaps Judgement day will be expansion 3? =P

I don't know how they missed the text explaining the scene with all the pet's but here it is...
Back in the old days prior to BC, there was a short lived bug that would occur when the BG ended while I was dead near Vann's room, when I was purposely a ghost seeing what the horde were doing to pull Vann by himself.
I would come back to life and all my pets would spawn, just one of the mage elemental pets would spawn but numerous engineering pets would spawn, arcanite dragonlings and gnomish battle chickens.
They would all spawn in about 5 seconds and start attacking any horde who had not left the BG yet. Unfortunately :-) they did no damage to the players. I did report the bug by email to Blizz with these screenshots.
Attribute to: A Field Marshal mage of Turalyon.

Woot! Last place for me! ^_~ Anyway, I did want to point out that Blizz has a nice long technical solution to some of these issues at http://us.blizzard.com/support/article.xml?articleId=21083&categoryId=2332&parentCategoryId=2316&pageNumber=1 for PC and http://us.blizzard.com/support/article.xml?articleId=21082&categoryId=2332&parentCategoryId=2316&pageNumber=1 for Mac. Personally, I like my wild glitches.

If your graphics card has the capabilities to glitch that hard, you are a threat to not only yourself, but your neighbors.
