I have to say this is by far my favorite series. Even without game play footage, that is what makes it great, its not about the game play, its about the guild.

Excellent work yet again. And a great thanks to one of my favorite actresses around!

It stopped being relatable when they started meeting in person. The first episode was good, but it became painful to watch after that.

This series isnt about gameplay. Its a character piece. As far as relatability; Its not about being to relate, if anyone can relate to these characters, then something is wrong. The beginning of the series gave you something sort of ordinary so you could recognize the situation, then it takes it beyond average and into the area of FUNNY. Its outlandish for a reason. FANTASTIC series and awesome acting all 'round.

Phenomenal series. It's evolved from a WoW thing, into a truly well developed story. Can't wait to see episode 10!

I think I can already see the ending though. Kinda like a, "well what now? Well we still have that raid to finish up" something of the kind where they all just go back to exactly what they were doing before.

Best moment in the series though is definatley when they all meet up for the first time and nobody says anything, then i think its Tink says that she got an epic dagger, and everyones like WOAH. Lmao, so true.

This webseries and the webcomic reallifecomics are prolly the best things around that actually bring a bit of the real world to WoW.

if you pay attention to the terms they use, you can tell it's not really WoW they're playing, it's just some very WoW-like MMO. Since it's imaginary, I don't think we'll be seeing in game footage anytime soon.

I really enjoy this show, especially as it portrays Felicia Day as a wow addict (which she is in real life lmao). The fact that they can talk to each other for hours over mics and struggle to come up with a whole sentence when IRL made me rofl til i woke the neighbours up.....gz on the Youtube award btw Felicia, i'll re-charge the night vision specs so i can spy...er i mean...er....watch out for that pesky cat that's been terrorising my plants :P

My suspicion would be that they want to treat it as a commercial project, or that they want to send it to film festivals. Either is likely to be a problem.

Blizzard has a history of quashing potential commercial Machinima projects, namely the Return series (yep, that's the reason you didn't see a series following on from "The Return"). And their fair usage rules are distinctly murky on the subject of film festivals - you have to apply to Blizzard for permission to screen at a festival, and so far I know of no-one who has received such permission since the usage rules were released (although I may just be ignorant on this one!).

Either way, I'd say that Felicia Day and co are making a damn good call steering well away from in-game footage.

WoW is not the first MMO to come out.

The sorts of issues The Guild deals with existed before WoW was a twinkle in Blizzard's eye.

People in UO, EQ and DAoC can all relate without ever having played WoW.

The show is NOT about the game they play, it's about the wierdos, like us, that play it.

Speaking of guild issues. I was reading Leiandra's blog http://zanderfin.blogspot.com/ where he talks about Guild Leader Appreciation Day! I think it's a good idea to appreciate what guild leaders do for us. What do you guys think?
