Known bugs in patch 2.4.1, 2.4.2 on the way

Patch 2.4.1 was rushed out the week after 2.4 hit, to fix some game-breaking errors, and we already know 2.4.2 is in the works; the hard-working Mac CM Tigerclaw, for instance, has mentioned that certain bugs are fixed in 2.4.2. It's a good thing they have another patch on the way, because 2.4.1 has its share of bugs. Hortus has
posted a list of about 150 known bugs in the bug reports forum. Here are a few of my favorites:
- "The /clap emote is not emitting sound if performed more than once." This is a feature, not a bug.
- "Cloak of Shadows do not remove the curse Shrink." Ha! Where's your CloS now? You're little!
- "Whirlwind has a new sound." This is a bug? Is it a bad new sound?
- "The death emote voice-over for Kael'thas Sunstrider in the Magister's Terrace continues after he has already died." You just can't kill this one. Kill him in the Eye, and he comes back in MrT. Kill him in MrT, and he still keeps talking! Maybe we have to burn him.
- "Abilities/trinkets that trigger after killing an opponent that gives experience or honor are being activated after killing mobs during bombing quests" True. I've gotten a heck of a lot of mana from my Power Infused Mushroom, not that it makes much of a difference.
- "Using a Papa Hummel's Old-Fashioned Pet Biscuit does not initiate a global item cooldown." Biscuit spam!

I've had that problem every third time I log in since the day I installed WoW. It had something to do with Comcast and Blizzard not getting along, do you have Comcast?

Why yes I do, but it's only been happening since the last little patch.

They did fix it, but now it seems the problem is back. I logged in shortly before Wussah made his comment and was instantly booted, I had to go reset my router and modem.
I would change IPs but at present the option isn't available to me.

@Matt some of us dont have a choice since comcast loves to have a monopoly in alot of areas they serve. And if you suggest DSL I swear Im gonna! j/k :P
I dunno, I have Comcast and I have not had a single problem with this. You may want to look at getting a new NIC card as I had that EXACT problem after one of the patches in pre BC WoW where it would crash no matter what I tried with my MOBO's nic. So i bought a cheap PCI NIC card from BB for like $30 and have not had a problem since.

Yes, Whirlwind should be considered a bug. It sounds like what I imagine throwing a litter of feral cats down a canyon would sound like.

Noooo, it sounds like a Fel Reaver crapping out a telephone.
Seriously, it makes me want to punch a baby.

I admit, I have been recharging my mana bar by equipping my Power Infused Mushroom and bombing the Scar. :)

At first I was disappointed that there was no mention of Void Reaver in there. Then I noticed there was an entirely different thread dedicated to that, with the following post.

Hortus: "There is a bug in that there is currently no combat log message for him casting Arcane Orb (just the impact message), causing boss mods to not work. This will be fixed in a future patch. "
Good news, even if it means we may be dealing with the bug for a while.

"The Brutal Gladiator's Rifle is emitting a Bow sound effect upon use, despite the item being a Gun."
Awwww. The first time I heard that, I thought it was wicked funny. "Hey, your gun sounds like a bow." But not everyone shares my love of the absurd, so this will get fixed.
I still want the gun which drops off boss #2 in Steam Vaults to be able to shoot tubers or rocks or small leather balls or...you get the idea. It looks like it could.

this brings up the idea for varieties of ammo i heard once a while back - much like rogues can poison their weapons, hunters could choose one of a variety of ammunitions with varying effects.

Lots of sound fixes, but I think they missed the most important one... Where's my riding saber's roar?!

Some info on Comcast and it's interference in users internet access can be found here http://systems.cs.colorado.edu/mediawiki/index.php/Broadband_Network_Management
Note that Comcast recently rolled out changes to how they "shape" network traffic that seems to have effects on a wide range of internet applications. This could explain Wussah and Alchemistmerlin's troubles with Comcast and WoW

Maybe Mr. Wiggles went to Priest school and learned how to get all floaty. ;)
