The story goes like this: A girl, Missmegan, lost her boyfriend to the Burning Crusades [sic]. They used to play together horde side, but after buying the expansion he turned to the alliance and is dedicated to his guild mates. All is lost, as he's no longer interested in his girlfriend's "assets" and rambles like a two-year old.
Of course this makes our forum posting protagonist upset, and she needs her boyfriend back. Now obviously this is a joke. At least I hope it is. And Katie (my girlfriend), if you're reading this I promise I'll never let it get this bad. I mean, I only play for 5 hours a day, not 13 as the boyfriend in the story does. And I make money with all this, so it's okay, right? Sweetie? Darling? Honey... D'oh....
Tagging the first response to this thread is Belfaire The Mighty, with the simple response "Dear WoW Widow, It's actually Burning Crusade. Yours, Belfaire." This had myself and the other writers here laughing. We had to share it.

I get away with playing my 5 or so hours a night because my girlfriend is in nursing school and literally doesn't have time for me because of her studying. It's pretty much a win/win. We live with each other, so we still spend plenty of time together.
What's even better is that she used to raid pre-BC with me so she understands if she asks me something and I respond "holdon, boss fight" :D

My partner and i play together! you gotta play together, or else your relationship will die. Its great, cause then you get a live-in instance partner, or someone to run you through quests when you're lvling your alt!

Aff, somehow half of my post got eaten... Anyway, we're raiding together now, him being a tank, me a healer and it makes things much easier when he can just shout me for a heal.
We're attempting Vashj atm with our guild - wish us luck. :)

I am so jelous! My wife has laid me low with the ban-hammer. I have a strict 2 night raiding schedule. I am now only allowed my regular 2 night raids, and I am allowed to farm sunday mornings until she gets up. lucky for me I am an insomniac and we party till 2-3 saturday night, I'm up at 6:30, she gets up at noon.
Really I am glad she has suggested I limit my self. Being mildly OCD I could play for days straight if she didnt remind me that I have other responsibilities.

My boyfriend and I play together, raid together, do dailies together, farm together...We live apart at the moment, and we both know that once we move in together, we probably won't play WoW as much :) WoW isn't any trouble at all for us because it's still 'together time', and when we are both online we make the effort to not abandon each other for other groups. Also, his prot pally alt is now 70, as is my holy priest alt - There's the start of a 5 man group!

I honestly can say I got my husband into wow Pre-BC. I had a level 60 resto druid then that was a raid healer. Now she's Feral YAY. Got a ton of alts on my account lol I am such an altaholic. He's got a Mage(fire yar he's a pyro) and a holy pally. Got 3 of our friends into the game we're all 70 now and sometimes raid together when we're all on. Or we all group and do instances but grrr I have to heal on my priest >< lol. Also my step-daughter has her own account now and has a little young lvl 12 druid we're letting her discover the game and play as she wants though I will make things for her and mail them to her toon :D

My fiance played WoW for about a month by himself, I spent that month watching him play (which I loved for some reason, I think it comes from spending years watching my brother play King's Quest games when I was little). Then I got an account and we've been leveling and raiding ever since.
It also helps that I'm as addicted to TV as he is to WoW. Any time I try to complain that he's gaming too much, he just counters with 'you watch too much tv.'
We've gotta work on making addicts out of the friends though.
