I'd like to interrupt your patch 2.4 coverage for this important announcement. This Saturday, 29 March is your first opportunity to get an early look at the Servants of the Betrayer expansion to the World of Warcraft Trading Card Game. Upper Deck welcomes players of all skill levels.
If you love Vanity pets, this may be the time to start playing WoW TCG. The new set will feature the new super common consumable loot card: Papa Hummel's Old-Fashioned Pet Biscuit, which adds growth counters to a party pet in the TCG. It can be traded in the MMORPG for biscuits that boost the size of cosmetic pets.
Several tournaments have been planned to kick off the event:
Entry Fee:
Europe & Oceania: Check with your Tournament Organizer
Tournament Format:
Sealed pack using four booster packs
of Servants of the Betrayer, and two booster
packs of March of the Legion.
Tournament Structure:
Fixed number of rounds using Swiss pairings.
Prizes:
Top finishers will win Servants of the Betrayer booster packs, playmats, and deck boxes. Playmats and deck boxes will be given out as door prizes to players in the first tournament of the day at each location. All players will receive an Extended Art Warlord Kalithresh promo card while supplies last.

Perhaps, but in my opinion I rather play WoW TCG over WoW.
No endless farming, clear rules and everyone can be OP.
Just depends in how good you build your deck, and seeing me and my friends play both games on casual level we have a shit load of fun making weird ass combo decks.
Can't do that in WoW can we now? Equip me RP gear and try and arena some bitch. Nah.. :P

Being able to play online would wonderful. While I got really gung ho about the game when it first came out, the only person I have to play against locally is my wife, and maybe her father, so Raid decks have been kinda useless. The only issue I would think would be the seperation between physical cards and online cards, since current card sets have no input or verification method for seeing who has what card and what run of what set or a PIN or Serial Number to input them.
I mean, I currently have boxes of the cards, a few nice decks built out and toooooons of fodder cards for whoever I run into that might want to play to build a quick deck. The possibility to play online would be really nice. Heck, I could probably write a nice web app or a quick and dirty .Net framework application to play online provided I could get the listings, text, graphics and such of all the cards. Rules are pretty straightforward (even with interrupts/instant ability cards and all)... Oh well. I guess I'll haul them around and make/mod decks and admire the pretty pictures until next blizzcon.

I would so play this game online. I love how the tcg plays out but unfortunately the tcg scene here is dying. Having this game online would be awesome. Imagine drafting 24/7 whenever you feel like it....that's just dreamy.

You can already play this game online using the OCTGN client. Go google it and find the card packs. We used to play it all the time :>
