The in-game breaking news text just announced extended maintenance for tomorrow. This again, is a strong indicator that patch 2.4 is on the immediate queue. We can expect the down time to be at least until 11 a.m. PDT. This normally is substantially higher on patch days, usually lasting until around 1 p.m. or 2 p.m. PDT.WoW Insider staff will be burning the midnight oil to make sure that you have a good list of patch mirrors and addon information ready to go when you wake up tomorrow morning.
Additionally, Belfaire has said that the patch is more around 300 megs, not the 900 megs that is showing up on Gamespot. Further more, the Gamespot download is a 2.0 to 2.4 update, which very few people will need tomorrow.
Updated 12:20 a.m. PDT: Belfaire is having fun with me. First he confirms, then he edits, then he edits again...
Updated 1:12 a.m. PDT: Updated Gameespot info, thanks to those who left comments on tonight's posts. And a fix for Belfaire. =)

I think the Gamespot patch is the full patch, not the 2.3.3 to 2.4 patch to which you're probably referring.

The one hosted on Gamespot is the full 2.0 to 2.4 patch that you'd download if you just installed BC.
The 2.3 to 2.4 patch will be substantially smaller, naturally.

It's probably preferable to wait. First thing after 2.4 goes live, EVERY 70 on both factions will be going to the Isle of Quel'Danas. It's gonna be laggy as hell.

@Kos:
I think their is a extremely slim chance it will wait.
@RogueJedi:
That's going to happen no matter when it gets released.

Opps forgot to add my message! :P
Yep, cant wait for 2.4, because I ain't got any pvp gear for my warlock, and tbh, I think I may just save my arena points and honor for WotLK, as I don't see the point of working towards full S3 (or S4) arena, only for it to be "epic" useless at lvl.80! lol
Rarther just go save my arena points, and have a crap ton at 80. Gotta go check the cap acctully, know the honor is 75k though.....
