Vic's inner WoW player turns out to be a warlock. He uses his theatrical voice and flare to present his story to the audience, even hinting at his ability to do alchemy. Now that this is out of the way, I can only hope that the Blizzard commercial spoof trend dies down. It's so three months ago!

Yeah, when a friend of mine who was an anime fan told me that this guy did a spoof, I was like "who?"
Dubbed anime is horrible.
And this spoof wasn't so great. I suppose it's a lot better to people who actually recognize the voice.

FMA, a great anime series, successfully ruined by Funimation's plan for world domination and Vic Mignogna's atrocious voice acting. I'm so glad I watch all of my anime in Japanese, otherwise I would have skipped the whole series.

Honestly, I laughed. I couldn't help it.
Hearing *ED* talking about being a Warlock was hilarious, and I can't help but think of anything else when I hear Vic's voice.

I dunno - I needed a nice echo effect to really put me there. :-D
That said, his comment on controlling pets made me LOL.

Heh, next time someone comments on Ed being short, Ed's going to just forget about alchemy or automail and instead just throw in DoTs after DoTs with a bit of fear at the offender.

This was very cool. The english dub of Full Metal is one of the best dubs out there and to hear the star bring his voice to something like this and even take a nod to his former work is awesome.

I agree. Listen, I like subbed better than dubbed any day of the week, but the snobbery of saying "DUB =BAD" every time is stupid.
The English dub of FMA was GOOD. They voice actors were talented, they got into their characters, and it was never corny.
Also, very funny movie.

There are plenty of English dubs that are good, and some that might be considered better, but FMA is certainly the least of which. If there's any anime NOT to watch in English, it's this one. Vic should stick to minor roles, like Kurz Weber in FMP (I guess he likes full metal things). Whenever people tell me they like FMA, I have to clarify what language they watched it in to determine whether or not they're under the age of 11.

Uhh, Moo...if you are sick of the WoW commercial spoofs then stop featuring them. That being said...
I thought this was great. I really miss Full Metal. I haven't seen it in a long long time.

lol god he is a silly guy.
Actually what most people didn't know. Is that since he was a fan of the original Star Wars, this commericial is also a spoof on the William Shattner commericial.
^_~ Ironically being the opposite of a shaman. rofl

Having met Vic a couple times now, I can say that he's all around a great guy. He's endlessly patient with the fangirls (and believe, he's mobbed at anime cons) and he has the utmost respect for the work he does- yes, he actually watched a fansubbed version of FMA to see how it ended because he was so sucked into it and loved it. Vic has also done spoofs on lots of other things, as you can see in his youtube list. So, I really enjoy seeing this up here. I watch all anime in Japanese with subs to help me understand (I took two years of Japanese in college, but by no means have it down), but that doesn't require me to hate any dub actor that dares to walk the earth. Vic even did a song devoted to FMA called "Nothing I won't Give", from Ed's perspective. He's a goof, as the video shows. :)
