The Sunwell Plateau trailer, released by Blizzard, has to be on the coolest trailers I've seen from them recently. If you have a second, turn the sound up a bit and have a look. You can watch the trailer right above via a YouTube hosted copy of the video, or head on over to the Blizzard page about Patch 2.4 and watch it there.
I give the people who made this an A+ for the day.
Of course, this will all be made even better when patch 2.4 actually does drop, and we're hopeful that it'll come next week. Today wasn't the day for it, unfortunately, despite some teasing remarks made by blue posters yesterday.
What do you think of the video? Pretty neat, eh?

That voice sounds like someone I know. Does anyone know who does the voice of kael in the video?

There is a relatively small group of voice actors who do the majority of the video game voice-overs.
They are very talented people, better actors then most of the big screen folks, imo.

Not as good as the 2.3 Zul Amon video, but very nice. I like how these videos really clearly explain the storylines.

Yeah, the wall behind Brutallus for sure, and I think later in the zone as well.
I've gotta say, it blows me away, mainly because it really didn't seem to increase lag at all. This gives me high hopes for some of the graphical changes of WotLK.

Now that you mentioned it, when I watch the video for the second time, I keep imagining Kael'thas talking like in Azerothian Super Villains.
Can't help but laugh my own ass off.

They ruined Kael for me.
I was expecting him to stop in front of the Dark Portal and go "Can I play with my dollies in Stormwind?"

I enjoyed the trailer but the voice just doesn't seem to go with it. I was expecting someone a little more masculine sounding. Ya know...rawr and all that.

Kael'thas never did have a deep, manly voice. :P

Compared to the other recent trailers this one wasn't as streamlined. There was a poignance to the WotLK and Zul'Aman trailers that was strangely missing here.
If I needed a word to describe the trailer, I'd use "detached". The other trailers, including the BC Cinematic trailer, were directed very strongly toward the players. This one sounded like Kael'thas was just muttering to himself.
Maybe this is more awesome if you've had to deal with Kael'thas long rants in his fight, but sadly I have not. In any case, this is the slowest moving of the trailers without quite the climatic punch of the others.

Awesome trailer-- but it was kind of hard to out-do the Gods of Zul'Aman one. This lacked a really cool catch-phrase to spark our intrest (GoZA's last few lines made me giddy), but overall, I really really liked this.
Also, I completely was expecting to hear the Azerothian Supervaillan's voice for Kael too. "Haaaay Illidan!"

Even with our daft thoughts of Kael from ASV still strong in our minds, his voice still doesn't sound as hard or determined as say Illidan for example. Poor guy.
And that laugh at the end from Kil'Jaeden was a bit funny!
