Anyways, if they're going to nerf Druids they need to look at Feral Druids. It's easy to slap together some leather and have 20,000 armor 12,000 health in bear form while doing damage as if wielding a 2h axe. Also, stop balancing the game based off arena matches! The arenas don't represent the game.

The change to cyclone in itself is not a game breaking nerf. However, they've also knocked down the healing on the bloom part of the lifebloom, nerfed natural perfection, and nerfed water to the point that you need 5 seconds of drinking to really get any return. Massive qq'ing went up the minute a life-tap change showed up. I don't think it's totally ridiculous for the resto druid community to complain. They didn't just get hit with the nerf bat, they got beaten down with the nerf bat. (disclaimer: I am not, nor have ever played, a resto druid)

Well put. As much fun as it is to try and classify players of different classes into types, the bottom line is that there will always be people who get their jollies off of whining just as loud and hard as they can over every little thing.

That said, I have no particular opinion on this nerf. I'm a hardcore carebare PvE balance druid!

I think people perceive certain classes as more mature, because they whine less. News Flash: this might be because they have less to complain about.

Cyclones diminishing returns are crazy, it ends up being a 2 sec cast spell interupt more than anything else after about 3 sec.

Personally I don't think the 10 yard reduction in cast distance is a big nerf, move ten god damn yards closer. Not too difficult.

I promise cyclone does have diminishing returns (6 seconds, 3 seconds and 1.5 seconds then immune for a while) but I also understand that it can seem like much more when you have to watch your team take a beating and not be able to do anything about it for those few seconds. I'm a resto druid and we needed some pvp nerfing, but I've also pvped as balance and I think it is a bit harsh on balance druids to nerf cyclone for them. Maybe include a range extension to 30 yards for cyclone in the moonkin form tallent point? Any thoughts on this idea that nobody at blizzard will ever likely read anyway?

WoW isn't a PvE game anymore.

Blizzard runs WoW now as a PvP game, with PvE content thrown in to give the 'casuals' something to do.

I bet when the Devs worked on the loot tables for Sunwell, they sat and thought real hard about how that gear could 'unbalance' the Arena until S4 comes out.

I bought World of Warcraft, but now I'm forced to play Battlefield: Warcraft.

Which is why Blizzard made 10 zones, 15 5-mans (16 shortly), 7 raids (8 shortly) and only 1 battle ground (4 if you count arenas) in the Burning Crusade.

I never really felt WoW to be much a PvE game in the first place. I don't want PvP in my game at all, don't want this whole 1 side vs the other thing, I don't want an accidental right-click to flag me, I don't want the easiest to attain epic gear to be through PvP, I want a co-op PvE server.

I started playing on a RP server in the hopes that there wouldn't be so much PvP and maybe there would be learnable languages, more player cooperation, etc... Nope, same old crap, no RP, full of the same PvP pricks as any other server. I hate how they just expect everyone to want to do PvP. Ahh, I could go on and on, but I'll stop annoying everyone.

I totally agree. All of these balance druids are complaining about collateral damage, why don't they make it strong for balance druids and weak for resto druids? Heck, you could even make cyclone STRONGER (longer duration, less mana, longer range), and make the whole entire ability a 31 point balance talent.

I vote for this. Cyclone alone isn't overpowered. It's its place in a resto druids already overwhelming arsenal that's overpowered. A general nerf to Cyclone, plus an Imp. Cyclone Balance talent makes perfect sense.

That or make it dispellable. The range nerf fixes nothing in PVP and is unnecessary in PVE.
