While there isn't any official World of Warcraft holiday for St. Patty's Day, festivities are bound to be popping up everywhere. Perhaps some merry drinking, maybe a few kisses to a stone, or maybe everyone rolls a red headed female dwarven warrior and dances around a bit.
Besides my real life green beer that I'll be enjoying (most likely a Budweiser Select with green dye), I'll have to saunter over to a tavern and pick up some sort of Potent Ale. I think I'll drink it right before I go off to pull Archimonde, no doubt causing everyone to yell in bewilderment over vent.
What are you doing in game for this St. Patrick's Day? And if you can, share with me and tip back the ol' glass at 9:00 EST tonight!

Aww, c'mon, the feast was this past Saturday, moved in order to keep it from falling on Holy Week! Even the Wikipedia article you linked said as much. Haha.
That said, I'm owning me some pukey greenskins in Zul'Aman tonight. Does that count? And to avoid looking unfestive, happy belated St. Patrick's Day!

I was gonna post a comment taking a pop at St Patrick (Being English i get annoyed at the fuss made over St Patricks day when we don't even get a National Holiday for St Georges Day here :/)
But, I decided to reply to your pointless comment instead. I think you'll find its celebrated in a few more than '2 or 3' countries, since the Irish are notorious migrators and breed like rabbits on viagra wherever they land (Hence why most Americans beleiving they are Irish despite never leaving the US)
So, just because its not of use to YOU, no reason to bitch about it, because chances are that there are enough people who are interested in what WoWers are doing ingame for SPD to make this article relevant.

Maybe the reason there isn`t a saint Georges day celebration is because the English are reviled in other country's (ok doesn't explain why there isnt one in England heh), hell you dont even have to ask why thanks to your racist little comment. The irish have faced plenty of racism over the years from some petty people, despite the fact they are well liked and quite likeable in general.

I dunno, I'm pretty sure there are Irish everywhere on the planet now.
Like Ardel O'Hanlan said, there are probably a tribe of redheaded ginger indians somewhere in the Amazon with bloated livers.

According to a BBC article on the front page (basically explaining why it was the 15th this year and not the normal 17th) I quote: "The occasion is celebrated all over the world"

Japanese are notorious migrators too. And so are Italians. But don't expect people where you live to take to the streets on Emperor Akihito's birthday or on the Italian Republic Day. Not to mention Jewish and Muslim holidays, which theoretically could be celebrated in lots of countries. How will wowinsider readers celebrate Eid ul-Fitr? I bet that could be an interesting Breakfast Topic.

Oh, you right. That proves it. I bet the BBC has done some thorough research on this matter to come to this detailed, minute conclusion. Celebrated "all over the world". I'm convinced, you can't get more specific than this. I'm left to picture in my mind the Bushmen or the Kadiweu or the Karen celebrating this day and proudly honoring their Irish forefathers. Thanks for this information.

And one of those countries is the United States, the main home for Blizzard and World of Warcraft (as well as WOW Insider).
So you know what? It is relevant, even if it isn't in your microcosm.
Grow up and get over it.

@6: Haha, it's funny, cause the Irish are actually quite racist as well (especially against the English :P). In fact, just the other week a couple of Polish immigrants were killed just for being Polish.
Anyway, I'm gonna celebrate Paddy's day by grinding honor like I always do. I don't see any need to go away from my normal schedule.
In all reality, this day is just a day for Ireland to celebrate everything that's bad about Ireland. Just getting off the train just south of Dublin this afternoon there were about 10 Gardai (Police) at the station arresting people for drunkeness. It's kind of sad.

I'll be drinking, staying far away from Kael (don't want a wipe due to all of us being smashed), and hanging out in vent I suppose. We canceled raiding tonight, but if we have a decent group of people on we'll either go add a world boss to our kills list, or we'll go ransack an alliance town. Not sure yet though...

I'd be glad to celebrate this Holiday if it was anything other than an excuse to get hammered and get into streetfights.
Honestly, I'd think anyone with any Irish heritage at all would be incensed at what this Holiday means (in the US at least).
I will be celebrating it in-game the same way as I do in real life: Trying to avoid the drunks.
