When we asked Duncor about it on Saturday, he said one of the things he wants to ask is whether Sunwell is progressively harder than Black Temple and Hyjal or if it's equal to those, and though Blizzard has said Sunwell is meant to be the hardest raid instance (the end of Burning Crusade's endgame, basically), I'm interested to hear that answer. And I also would like to hear some discussion on a question suggested by The_Milkcat in that thread, about the difference between world first kills on the PTR and on the live realms.

Well, it better not be top-tier exclusive to end-game raiders (aka NAXX) because most of the current Kara guilds are never going to see it by time WOTLK rolls around (aka NAXX)...
Seriously - Blizzard needs to stop making content that less then 10% of their player base is ever going to clear.

I wouldn't sound so discouraged; with the changes that Blizzard is making in regards to current raids (removing attunements, nerfing bosses, and providing comparable gear that can be acquired outside of raids), many of the raids that were attainable by only competative end-game raiding guilds have been - and will be - more accessible to more casual players. Do you still have to invest time and effort to get to them? Of course, but it's substantially less than it was pre-TBC.
While dedicated raiders as myself might not always think too positively of the changes, it appears that Blizzard has learned from its previous attempts and is working to change this.
What is it about WoW and WoWInsider in particular that requires that the first reply to any post be as negative as possible? How disappointing.

Yeah, the "top 10%" argument has pretty much gone out the window in a time where even Karazhan has its attunement cut. The top 10% may be the only players in there on release, but considering the other changes we've seen it's pretty much assured that Blizzard will give everybody the opportunity to see it eventually, even if they have to start giving out T6 for free at the gates of Stormwind.

If you can't get past Kara, Gruul's, Mag, SSC, TK, Hyjal, and BT, then why are you so worried about Sunwell? It seems to me that people like you are swamped in options now. You don't even have to beat TK and SSC to see Hyjal and BT now, so what's the problem? Do you really think you should be able to stroll into Sunwell in your kara gear and just own the place?

You've been stuck in Kara for 14 months and that's Blizzard's fault? The attunements to EVERYTHING are being lifted. You have more raid options than you have hours in week.
It's not Blizzard's fault you're not in Sunwell.
