The changes just keep on coming, and at the oddest times too. The following was just unlocked on the patch 2.4 PTR: Arena gear is now obtainable in exchange for PvE tokens. According to World of Raids, Tier 4 tokens will get you season 1 gear, T5/6 will get you season 2, and the new Sunwell T6 tokens will get you Vindicator gear. You can also, apparently, exchange Badges of Justice for "all PvP gear," as pictured. What does this change signify? Yet again, Blizz is trying to open up progression. Whether this is in advance of Wrath, when this all will be relatively meaningless, or simply in response to continuing pressure for advancement from players, this is probably a change that will be lauded by those who don't already have what it gives. If you've got this arena gear already, it might seem unfair that people can get it through alternate paths, and maybe it is. But I like that Blizz keeps trying to make it easier to be versatile in the game, to not just have to devote yourself to either PvE or PvP. Players being able to take advantage of all the game has to offer is key to its continued success.

I've got 10k atm - once you've got your epic flying mount, and are at a spot in progression where you'd be lucky to get an upgrade every 2 weeks (ie. I'm at T6 atm, and drops aren't being too kind), money just starts piling up.

You realise it would actually be faster to get the honor, right?
I can get 10K honor in a day where as I can get 6 heroic badges if I'm LUCKY.

Pretty meaningless change, if your raid group went and did BG's you would get the gear quicker then raiding for it. The only time I can see people using this is if everyone has full tier gear and also for their off specs.
Call me when the weapons are available for Badges of Justice (which they should be as arena weapons are often better then the equivalent tier weapons).

And then....i dont get it.
I mean,these change is great.
But then again, just shows how pointles it is to have gear
For pvp
and gear
For pve.
Instead of just having gear.
Like in Vanilla wow....yeah we had the honor gear and the tiers, but both were very similar and work for anything.
What i see blizz doing: Add ressil to all PVE gear, buff al PVP gear offensive stats...and PUFF you get gear from any source that works for any purpose.Gems/enchants can still further tweak it.

I'm indifferent to this.
There really isn't anything wrong with being able to access similar content through different means; be it raiding, PvP, or "casual" world PvE.
The way I see, if the time investment is the same, it's perfectly valid. If it is genuinely "easier" to get the same quality loot at a faster pace... meh.
It'll all be obsolete in a month anyway.

So. . . what's the point of this? Getting PvP gear through PvE raiding? Isn't that like taking a two hour commute for a job in your backyard?
PvP is the cheap and easy way to epics, and they're adding another way to get PvP gear?

I know people with 200 badges and nothing to spend them on. This is just Blizzard's way of giving people things to dump badges on.

I am thrilled about this change! I have a limited amount of play time, and I often allocate it to raiding. Occasionally, though, I like to PvP, and I have no gear. This enables the opportunity for me to have a little resilience after all!

This is good IMO
I really find it hard grinding honor in pve epics and I have a healthy stash of badges. I can now seriously look at doing arena without being out geared.
I raid/pve way too much to even think about slogging battlegrounds for resi/stam gear.

Any time gear becomes easier to get, a part of the game is opened up to someone.
For some players, going into Kara to take down Curator for a chance is a lot more time efficient to get some excellent gloves then grinding 12000 honor and 20 WSG tokens, which can be put maybe for a boss that you can't beat as easily.
Big ups, I like the concept.

Not a terrible addition, but I hope there is more.
It'll be nice when Curator/Prince drop tokens that nobody needs.
