The WoW community has wasted no time in tearing apart the patch 2.4 files in search of goodies, and goodies they have found! The patch notes themselves didn't blow me away, but this tidbit got me a little excited. The new legendary bow in the Sunwell Plateau is named Thori'dal, the Stars' Fury. It's quite impressive indeed!According to the spells attached to it, Thori'dal requires absolutely no ammo. It apparently creates its own and it looks like the bow's DPS is jacked high enough that you'll suffer no loss from the lack of ammunition. To make the deal even sweeter, Thori'dal comes equipped with a passive haste buff that nulls the need for a quiver. Congratulations on your Legendary, hunters! Here, have a bag slot!
I'll admit, I don't play a hunter, but this bow seems like a pretty sweet deal all around. Agility, crit, haste, armor penetration, and free ammo. Just about the only thing it doesn't do is conjure s'mores. Keep in mind, though, this thing is still on the PTR. Any stats or spells you see attached to this bow may or may not be there the day it hits the live servers!
If you want to take a gander at the stats, check it out after the jump!

Thanks, MMO Champ!

I can't believe They would make another POS slowass bow. I am sick to death of this crap. SLOW SUX. If Huntards could do the math, they could see.
My Grand Marshals Bow is way out dpsing my Steelhawk Crossbow. (~600 v. ~450)
Obviously nobody who likes slow understands basic maths. You are so impressed with your big crits that you don't notice that your overall performance severely suffers.

Hmm, so when will us locks get an off-hand that will allow us an endless supply of soul stones?

At first I was stunned speechless. Then I wondered, why the hell don't they take away the need for ammo and ammo pouches for all the other ranged weps? Oy! Still, very impressive for the small few that might get their hands on it. An undisputed Hunter wep in my book. =P

See the tooltip better: 15% haste effect, and you don't need ammo nor quiver, so it saves you bag space! You want better than that? Geez, I would give everything if i got a chance to get a staff that negated reagent costs of Ritual of Refreshment/Arcane Brilliance/Teleport & Portals... or like the lock above you, soul shards

Loss of your racial bonus perhaps would be better to complain about.

No, but you have to grind them, just like money.

For those of you that believe it's an extrodinary weapon, let me introduce this to you.
It's got the same DPS as the Hyjal bow. *95.6 DPS + 53 damage ammo.* The only thing it gives you is heavier Steady Shots, and a bag slot. Nevermind not having to pay the 20g per raid night in ammo.

That is not just for Hunters it would be nice for Rogues or Warriors too. They should make a Hunter specific weapon.

LAWL!
You mean "Congratulations on your Legendary, you less than 1% of hunters that will ever get to see it!"
I'm so happy Blizzard spends our money so well.

wtf makes u so exited abt this piece of crap?
U think we endgame hunters care abt spending 30 gold on ammo? u think we cant manage with the current bags-space in raids?
we wanted a reward for endgame acheivements, like the warclaives are now. the WC set gives a rogue around 200 dps more than the other weapons in the end of BT.
this worthless piece of puke gives us 25 dps more as BM's, that a bristlkeblitz striker. mind u, thats a weapon from a lower instance, what id call tier 5.5.
consider this; the 1hand melee weps have 108 dps in SW, so a natural progression of stats would be 103 dps on the ranged weapon. add to this the 53 dps ammo. 156 dps. thats an increase atleast. instead, its ON PAR with the current endgame drops!
how does the equip's have ANYTHING to do with endgame?
this weapon is designed for cheap farmers.
IF they added a real ranged weapon in sunwell, i promise u, all hunters will use the epic one over this, until the expansion. then we will farm until we get a lvl 80 weapon, and DE this intermisson tool of levelling with no costs.
or quit wow, and sell the account to a chinese who will save gold this way.
I just hope there is a proper epic ranged weapon, or ill be really dissapointed.

1000% signed!
if they do not give this "magic arrows" some DPS, this bow is for some stupid farming retards but completely worthless to any raiding hunter!
ironically only raiders will ever get the chance to see this piece! ;-)
