Nethaera has posted this morning that... no, we aren't getting new patch 2.4 information yet. Not today, and probably not Monday. Disappointing, but as with all posts from Nethaera, there's usually at least a few hints hidden within. Thanks to the bit of relief she brings, the lack of real news isn't all bad.There's been some doom and gloom hanging over the WoW community about the upcoming arena balancing, but Nethaera assures us there will be no "sweeping class changes." Whether this is a good or a bad thing is really up to you, but being the magical PvE carebear that I am, I'm certainly pleased with that. I'm sure the PvP community thinks otherwise, and would also like to eat me for breakfast.
Nethaera goes on to crush our hopes and dreams by stating that fake patch notes are, indeed, fake. Sorry, warriors, Rend is still not for tanking!

So many times I've seen people upset over class changes due to arena balances.
I guess I don't understand why they can't balance arena's INSIDE arena's.
For example: Pallies lay of hands. You simply can't use it inside arena's. Trinkets, can't use em in arena's (besides specific pvp trinkets), so you can use trinkets, but they limit them to certain one's.
Can someone point out the negatives towards balancing things INSIDE the arena? I don't raid at all and pretty much only arena and bg. But I guess I'm so tired of people blaming arena for all these balances and yet there are many things you can't use or can't do in arena that you can outside of arena.
Why not nerf X skill to be limited or subject to no use inside arena?
Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure druids can't use entanglement inside arena's. Is that due to being "inside" yet they can run around in cheetah all day in arena's, and that's an outside talent only. (not saying that's why you can't cast it, just figured that was the reason)

Entangling Roots can be used in arenas...so you're wrong about that, but I do agree with what you're saying. I think all classes should be allowed to be buffed accordingly for PvE without it completely screwing over the PvP side of things. As a balance druid, I'd really love to see some type of viable form of CC given to the class. My suggestion is to allow cyclone to run for 40 seconds in dungeons, but keep it at the 6 second, diminishing return status it has now against PvP opponents. Polymorph works in the same way, and there aren't too many complaints with that.
