- Papa Hummel's Old-Fashioned Pet Biscuit, the pet-enlarging consumable that we heard about here yesterday.
- A "Personalized Weather-making Machine," that will create a random weather effect over a person's head. The options we've heard so far include, sun, blue skies, thunder, rain, and snow.
- And an X-51 Nether Rocket, which is an epic flying mount. Yes, finally, you can ride around the skies of Outland Slim Pickens-style, on the top of a rocket. Unfortunately, the mount doesn't go rocket speed, it just goes regular speed-- it's available in regular or epic flavors, just like the other loot card mounts.
In fact, the most interesting thing about the expansion isn't even these loot cards-- it's the fact that these boosters will also have a new hero type in them: "Traitor heroes." For the first time, TCG players will be able to play non-Alliance or Horde NPCs. Interesting. The booster set releases in March of 2008.

Haha. Need to watch that again.
"Alright! You're sorrier than I am! But I am sorry as well. I am as sorry as you are, Dimitri. Don't say that you are more sorry than I am, because I am capable of being just as sorry as you are. So we're both sorry, alright? Alright."

It seems like half these loot cards are things that should be for engineers that they're getting screwed out off.

Why should engineers be entitled to free "fun stuff" exclusively just because it's rocket-related?

Engineers don't get enough exclusive benefits? Please step out of Azeroth my friend... engineering is a great profession as is without hogging all the cool items.

To add to this quote-fest: "You can't fight in here! This is the War Room!"
I've written two papers on that film, and I LOVE it. Ebay, here I come, I want a ridiculously powerful munitions device between my legs!

LOL cool stuff with giant possible failure chances, that gets outdated in 3 levels, and most of which can only have two at a time out due to being trinkets, also removing other more useful items?
Engineering is the most shafted crafting profession - the recent imporvements have been very specific (arrow and bullet makers only help classes who make bullets and arrrows), the CC on explosives is weak (where's my 6 second fear bomb?) or entirely cosmetic (The Mount rules, I love mine, but it is purely cosmetic).
Maybe if my ray guns scaled, or if I could craft some non-gun weapons (how about crossbows? I can't use 'em but it'd make sense!), or if we got more non-engineering usable items (pets, weapons, more non-engineer explosives), I'd be better.
Of course, giving us an option on the mount - Rocket or Gyro, would be nice.

the loot cards do not affect game play or progression in any way, so it does not have the same impact that gold selling does on the gameplay and game economy. i love the online game and over the last 6 months have gotten to where i am a tcg lovin fool and i actually play the card game now more than i play the online game. i never would have excpected in a million years that this would be the case...
i hope that in the next expansion of Wrath of the Lich King that they include special cards just like the did with the Burning Crusade, it will allow more people a chance to get into the awesome tcg game....

I really think Blizzard is adding too much commercial crap to the game through the TCG.

Commercial crap? Yeah woe-betide they add unique, useless items to the game to reward players that also play the TCG.
Are you one of those people that believe this kind of thing takes a lot of development time and is holding up proper content?
THE ENTIRE DEVELOPMENT TEAM HAS SPENT MONTHS ON THIS FLYING MOUNT RESKIN. WE THINK IT WILL BENEFIT EVERYBODY.
No... just no.

Sure at this stage the mount isn't a problem to integrate, i am sure the workflow is insanely easy.
Standards check versus the character model skins and the possible disguises, sound test on various output devices, and away they go.

If they're going to be real rockets, there needs to be a SIGNIFICANT chance the rider will fall off and a good chance he will die. Otherwise it's not engineering its just an oddly shaped gryphon.

I always get depressed when they come out with more awesome things that I could only get by buying cards for a game I will never play. Damn it, blizzard!

I wish Blizz would add more fun stuff like this to the game WITHOUT requiring me to spend money on card packs or ebay. When it was 3 or 4 items in the first pack, I was fine with it. But now there are at least 20 or 30 of these things. It's getting a bit ridiculous.

Yep, confirms that the only way we're allowed to have anything fun in the game, is if its Blizzard pre-approved and/or paid for.
Hmm strange coincidence that they announce new "fun" right after taking some out of the game?
So which card has my ghost wolf, Blizzard? jerks.
