The happiest class?
We all know which class QQs the most (I know, I know, low blow-- but it made me laugh), but which class smiles the most? Skrattin (who is actually a Warlock himself) speculates that it's 'Locks who are happiest with the game. Even though they've taken some nerfs (although they might still be OP, depending on who you listen to), they still seem to be pretty happy with their class and the game at large. And it's true-- I've never once heard of a Warlock protest out there on the realms.
I generally think of Warriors are pretty happy guys, but even they have had their problems. And while most Priests I know tend to actually be pretty cheery about being the first to die when aggro is lost and playing whack-a-mole all the time, they've had their problems as well. And while I do like my Shaman, I can't really defend my class-- we're pretty big whiners (even if it is justified).
So maybe it's true-- Warlocks just might be the happiest class in the game. It's not that there isn't Warlock QQ, it's just that, for most of the game, it's been about 'locks, not by them.

I would think that Mages are pretty happy. I haven't seen many problems in the last few months. And most of the QQing is from bug fixes; not nerfs.

QQing about bug fixes is still QQing.

Mages happy? Huh? We QQ more then any other class then shaman, but for good reason. Our jobs in PVE apart from CC have been taken by warlocks, and we have no job in arena apart from CC.

Mages are MADE for CC. Read Blizz class info. They have the biggest CC in the game. Sorry but you can't have too many great features.

This mage want to get everything else "apart of CC" in order to be happy. Why need locks?
btw. you apparently have no idea control is also the main thing for locks in arena, apart from throwing dots.

Right because sheep is so OP, frost is only good for one spec and pretty useless for PVE. And no, the greatest CC in the game is fear, competent locks can use it fine in PVE (look up Curse of Recklessness).
I know locks are also CCing people in arena, but they *can* throw DoT's, while LOSing other casters. What can mages do? Ice lance spam? lol.
Fear, DoTs, a few good pets and the same damage as mages? Yeah not OP.
I used to raid with a lock before BC. I quit because they started turning them into shadow mages, instead of buffing the demons and debuffs/DoTs that where the focus of the levelling experience.
I don't want Blizzard to nerf locks, I want them to stop shoe horning so many classes into a few roles just because they lack imagination. They have managed to make healers have similar but different roles, and even sort of did the same with tanks, but casters/melee all compete at the exact same job.

I'm going to disagree with you about Fear being the best CC in the game. Polymorph is far superior as pure crowd control.
Yes, Fear along w/ CoR juggling is a good form of CC, but advisable only when all other forms are exhausted or impossible, due to the unpredictability of it.
I'm pretty good at kiting a mob around w/ Fear and using CoR if it threatens to pull additional mobs, but it's far from reliable even in the best of hands. Sometimes the mob INSISTS on running toward uncleared areas rather than back into cleared areas, no matter how many times you put on CoR and then clear it back off again. In these cases, all too numerous, the lock cannot DPS at all, because you can do nothing but kite the mob back and forth and hope to god you don't get hit by a silence or stunning effect, which would have one of two outcomes: Either the mob is still feared, and pulls more mobs, or the mob is CoRed, and attacks you visciously while you're silenced and unable to remove CoR.
Fear and CoR: Good CC, great when you're lucky and not so great when you're not. The Warlock can't always refocus attention on the battle at hand.
Polymorph, on the other hand: Mob is a sheep. Mob wanders around a little bit, but never enough to pull additional mobs. Mage can universally refocus his attention on DPSing for the next 15 seconds.

I'm quite happy with my hunter. The only challenges I really face are just minor bookkeeping annoyances like seeking out pet abilities, buying ammo, and being 1 bag-slot short.
And with the elimination of the deadzone hunters are much stronger in arenas.

Well I think rogues are fairly happy. Except the vanish problems and some other minor stuff.

I agree. I am pretty happy being a rogue in PvE. PvP is another story though. Probably because I'm new at it.

you havent heard rogues complaining because more and more are just saying that's it I'm done playing the class.
Year in Review:
- Introduction of Resilience significant hit to rogue
- Removing Adrenaline Rush from Preparation reset takes away our only real way to provide burst damage in a bad situation.
- Failure to add more consideration to the subtlety tree while trying to force us to spec to Shadow Step - pure failure
- Rogues talent dont scale well, 2.5K eviscerate with "5"
combo points on a target vs a 6K mage crit?
- Stick your pets on us all you want, vanish broken they will still attack and take us out of stealth
- Cload of Shadows broken since 2.3.0 due to the way they re-worked timing in combat, this along with vanish has been declared no known fix issue.
- Many of the boss fights created in TBC not friendly to melee, especially leather thus less raid spots for what to be the best on boss target dps class.
Not been complaing? How about we just gave up? My rogue is just my farmer because I invested in buying it an epic flying skill thinking they would fix the many problems, my bad on that obviously....

i don't know, i never saw this as a contest, i saw it as a "there's a lot of complaining in this game about what's wrong it, but lets take a minute to remember how much is right with it" kinda thing.

Warriors are pretty happy?
Then they must've been rolling in gold then, because those repair bills don't make anyone smile.

I'm a warrior, and I'm happy. Prot warrior, too. Tanking is fun and it's been made easier by recent changes (thunderclap in def. stance, the Devastate change). Plus, now warriors aren't the only class that can tank, so there's more opportunities for me to play my mage (who I am also very happy with).
And yes, repair bills do suck. But I've also made enough gold from farming, questing and dailies to buy two epic fliers, so.. *ahem* learn to farm =)

I love this constant stereotyping of priests as the first to die and playing whack a mole. I mean, seriously, no good priest is the first to die when aggro is lost and whack a mole? it's a damn site more interesting than a rogue or a tank ffs. We may have portraits to whack, but it's more interesting than dps'ing and a damn sight more intense.
