WotLK is one of Yahoo!'s most anticipated games of 2008
Wrath of the Lich King made Yahoo! Games' list of 10 anticipated games in 2008. It's the only expansion on the list, and it stands proudly alongside other legendary intellectual properties like Metal Gear Solid, Final Fantasy, Halo, Fallout, and Grand Theft Auto.
It's definitely unusual for an expansion pack to make a list like this; that just goes to show you how extraordinary World of Warcraft is as a cultural phenomenon. Now if only I knew when this blasted expansion might be coming out, I could stop sitting around and fantasizing about playing as a Death Knight. No, wait ... I'd still be doing that anyway.

Agreed...I guess I'll pick up 2-3 copies of the CE...we have 1 complete CE account ATM, another with just the BC CE attached to it, and then 2 regular accounts...I just love the little pets I get!

I am waiting for SC2 and Spore myself...
What I find interesting is the author(s) predicting success while it seems that some of the other MMO sites are predicting less then stellar success. One of them will be right.

I've been looking forward to Spore for two years now. I recently found out, however, that Electronic Arts uses SecuROM 7 in every product it publishes, so I won't be playing Spore after all.

Games for Windows Magazine also did a similar list in their December issue. WotLK again made it, which is somewhat less notable, as in this case they were only selecting from PC games.
Fallout 3
S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky
Far Cry 2
World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King
Project Origin
Borderlands
Starcraft 2
Rage
Dragon Age
Left 4 Dead
