You've probably already read the big news. Dell has the ultimate WoW gaming laptop up for sale next week (earlier for those who signed up through their banner campaign.) Dell has two more surprises up their sleeve. First, they sent us one for review. I received my Dell XPS 1730 World of Warcraft Edition laptop and goodie bundle yesterday. I will be putting it through the paces this week and reporting on it here on WoW Insider.
Second, Dell is providing us with one of these bad boys with all the WoW extras that go with it to give away to you, faithful readers. That's right: Dell and WoW Insider are giving away a $5k+ gaming laptop. Details will be announced soon.
Until then, check out the gallery below and read more details on the special edition laptop after the jump!

Whoa, what's that about a custom action figure? That alone is worth its own post. Is that something that's only available through Dell (unlikely) or is that something we can get separately, like through DC or something?

As for the laptop, I anxiously await news of this giveaway (I don't have a great need for a new computer, but I would welcome it in my home).

Will the alliance one automatically make a QQ forum post everytime it suffers an AV loss?
The laptops look really sweet.

This might be a stupid question here:
But when you are shipping something expensive like the Dell XPS, is it really smart to put the XPS logo on the shipping box thus "alerting" shady employees of UPS/FEDEX/ETC?
Its like last year when a bunch of Wii's mysteriously "dissapeared" or "fell off the truck" in shipping.

Very nice, released the day before my B-Day as well, they are calling my name. If I don't win one, I'm definitely buying one. Might buy one anyway as a give to me from me for surviving yet another year on earth.

Yeah know, if I, hypothetically, win this laptop I would, hypothetically, hack OS X to run on it.
All you know, hypothetical.
Yeah...

Dear god, I was wondering who would be offering these as prizes; there's no way I can justify $4500 for a new machine. I thought maybe Blizzard or Dell might do a constest. These are drool-worthy rigs, indeed. Please, please let me win one, WoW Insider.

Price is way high, I thought it was the one with the dual 64GB Solid State drives, for that price it should be.

Do you need a $5k laptop to play WoW even with everything turned up? I bet a simple $1k or $1.5k one will play it just as well. WoW isn't exactly pushing the envelope of gaming graphics.

It would, but why buy a $1k laptop when you could get a $5k one for free? :D

This should come with a copy of Crysis, too... since it's about the only thing out there right now you need that much power for.
But yeah, free is a great price for one, so I'll be getting in line with everyone else.
