We have mentioned Mac Ace Updater in passing before (or rather, I think you commenters have-- thanks!), but if you've had problems with that one or are on the hunter for another Mac-based addon updater, here's a handy link from the LJ-- WoW Ace Updater for the Mac is designed to update all of your Ace addons on any OS X system you happen to have sitting around. Here's all the Ace files-- as you can see, tons of popular addons are in there, from FuBar to Atlas to Omen. Odds are that if you use any of these, you probably already use WoW Ace Updater (or a program like it) to update the ones you need, but if you're on a Mac and for some reason have been having problems, this is another solution you could try.

There are more programs out there, however you have to look for them.
WUU is a prime example of this. It's still under development but it's mac, windows, linux ported. It updates off of most of the addon sites that I've ever heard of and used. Even has a plain but easy to use gui.
I'm a Linux user myself and it works great for me, and mac users that I know have tried it are happy with it.

Do you know what a Mac is?
"Odds are . . . you probably already use WoW Ace Updater . . . but if you're on a Mac and for some reason have been having problems . . ."
Well it's a given that anybody would have problems running WoW Ace Updater on a Mac, since WoW Ace Updater is a Windows program and doesn't run on OS X.
The isn't another solution to try, it's the first solution available for OS X. So apparent lack of knowledge aside, thanks for the link. I'll definitely be installing this tonight.

Actually James, Minus points for you. You should not try to put someone's comments down before you make sure your data is founded in reality.
There are other applications out there for Updateing on the mac. WoWMatrix has a Mac updater for non-Ace and ace addons for their site.
The WoWACEUpdater that is being discussed here is a new version that is Java and works on Mac.
Please James, confine your lack of knowledge to your own thoughts instead of posting for all to see.

The point is that the original post implies that the WoW Ace Updater linked runs on Macs, which it doesn't, which is why I wonder if Mike knows exactly what Macs are.
You are right that this isn't the first update program for Macs. Now I know better.

I've been using MacAceUpdater for awhile, and I was pretty happy with it until I installed Leopard, and it started crashing all the time. I noticed the other day that it's been updated to 0.5.1, which runs fine under Leopard. The download link is still for version 0.5, but if you go to the Files section, 0.5.1 is there.
Auctioneer is the only non-ace addon that I run, and I don't mind updating it manually.

MacAceUpdater is what I have been using, not very good. You can't sort the columns in the massive list that it shows you. Tough to find what you already have installed.

For me, this one doesn't work at all (doesn't detect my WoW installation, bah). I just fire up Windows XP under Parallels and use the Windows version...

http://wuu.vagabonds.info/ is for WUU if you guys want to give it a shot as I said it does have a mac port. Again, it's still under development but improves with each version.

Thanks for posting this. It works great for me. I recently replaced a bunch of my Cosmos addons with alternatives from WowACE and have been looking for a good updater. I still have to use Cosmos' updater for the few mods I have from there, but running two separate updaters is a lot easier than manually tracking down and installing updates for the 30 or so mods I use.

There's also this one, which is much more Mac-like than the one suggested by the poster. It's new but is getting revisions very frequently.
