I try and limit myself to 3 hour chunks. So I can do some instances and a few BG before its time to quit. Keep it fun and special.

my battleground is always like that, for the alliance, I needed 20 AB marks, I had to play 17 times, it was terrible, the one time we won was because the horde brought 6 to our 13
... I know they look at the data and say, nah, its ballanced, but I swear its only ballanced because while on this one server the horde win 75% of the time, on this other one the alliance win 75% of the time, and that sucks

I was in the same boat as you, running AB like a man possessed by some inner masochism until the early morning. Thankfully, we (horde) won more than lost, and some truly epic battles ensued. Definitely down and dirty gameplay.

you know what's really nice to do in the wee hours of the morning?

dailies.

i had my routines down so pat that i could do 10 dailies at around 2 am on my paladin in about 1 hour and then log over to my rogue and do maybe 10 more in 50 mins or so. it got to the point where i was racing every night to get a lower and lower elapsed time.

best i ever did was 44 mins for 10 dailies on my rogue.

most of the obvious hubs are kinda sparely frequented at those times so it's easy to get all your mobs for quest completions. you'll also wind seeing a lot of the same people/nightowls every day and it's not hard to get groups to REALLY burn through stuff after a while.

with some of the new dailies in 2.3 i've changed my approach a bit (love doing the pvp daily!), but i still usually do them in the AM rather than in the afternoon/evening.

I'd much rather do solo stuff and grinding in the middle of the night, but it makes getting an instance PUG damn near impossible.

Rolling late night isn't the issue, for PvP. You were rolling against last minute premades, grinding for honor.

On Shadowburn, it takes me 15 AVs to win my daily. 20 WSGs, and atleast 10 ABs. Honestly, you just got really unlucky, or were playing at the wrong time.

Yeah, time of day changes a lot, but Barrens Chat is a killer all the time... I find myself wanting to just give up and collapse whenever I pass through that part of the world...

The Thrall quest in Durnholde is actually shareable, even after Thrall begins to move.

To all of the people who whine about how their faction always loses in the BGs... Please stop going to the BGs. Did it ever occur to you that your personal contribution to victory may be what is lacking? Maybe if you weren't there your faction would win.

I typically play from 10pm-2am local time. I find that I can usually get a group at 10:00, and then spend of the rest of the time grinding and questing. There is little competition for mobs and less ganking as well. Since I play Horde on a PvP server, the alliance kids are all fast asleep as they have school the next day.

Late night fights always get you some pretty intense fights. People on edge, destressing, or just tired do some fun things just because they can.

I led an attack on stables from BS where we all walked across the lake. The Alliance never saw us coming and we looking at the bridge when we came on shore near the field. Water walking suddenly got new respect from my side.

I almost prefer the later fights now. I may not win, but I have some actual fun and am not constantly fighting people in Merc gear who apparently have nothing better to do.

three of us tried to do durnholde keep. I was shocked at how well we did. I was on an alt holy priest, had a rogue, and a fire/arcane mage (all 70). Since each of us could cc someone (I've never had so much fun with mind control) we did fairly well. But we were only going in to get our last 800 rep to get to revered and didn't finish past blowing up the buildings. I wonder how far we could have gone if we hadn't hit our rep goal and had continued.

I had an amazing time last night in the thrill of pre-s1 release.

Managed to pull together a late-night group for Black Morass, which is fun when everything goes right. It was semi-ragtag, with me (rogue), pally tank, pally healer, warrior on adds, and lock. After the first boss, the warrior d/ced, leaving us with a feeling of "should we just run out now and save the dura damage?"

It was late, we were tired. It was time for glory. Ended up 4-manning the run with the lock and I alternating picking up adds, a VERY lucky Jumper Cables XL res between fights, and a lot of hard work, tenacity, and skill throughout. Honestly one of my top five WoW moments so far - and most of the rest have been on late-night adventures as well.

Much better than repeatedly queuing the bgs over and over and over again all night, imo.

I go to school and do my homework then I play wow. I live on the west coast but I play on a cetral server. It wasn't until I hit summer time and started to play in the mornings I realized I had never seen the Hinterlands or UC in daylight...
