In honor of the 3rd Anniversary of the North American launch of WoW, we devoted almost the entire WoW Insider Show yesterday to talking about all the highlights since launch. We went patch by patch and talked about what we remembered from each. It was great fun to relive the memories. For those of you who don't listen to our weekly podcast on WoW Radio every Saturday at 3:30pm EST, it will be downloadable tomorrow or Tuesday. In the meantime, I thought it would be great to take a poll to find out what your favorite patch was since launch.
I'm intentionally leaving out the original game launch and Burning Crusade launch.
Vote on the above and tell us why below!

Patch 2.02 is missing (new honor system, new TBC mechanics). That was probably the patch I yearned for most, because of the honor points.

I have to say this latest patch. Been wanting guild banks for such a long time, also faster leveling for alts is the greatest.
All in all, this last patch feels like a mini-expansion.

I was around since about 1.8 (And the only reason I know this is because they revamped my level 7 druid :( ), so I can't speak for before that, but 1.12 was my favorite patch. The cross-realm battlegrounds were amazing for pvpers. Waiting 2 hours for AV? Pfft, thing of the past!
And of course, they made it so your mini-pets wouldn't die. Best change ever imo!

There have been some ups and downs. The whole faction versus faction resource race for AQ was really fun, but with the linked auction houses, it kinda made the bigger cities like Ironforge empty. Patch 1.11 was extremely fun when it hit too, but only the elite of elite guilds were ever able to get into Naxx. I would honestly say this latest patch has been the most WoW defining moment, since now it won't be that mind-numbing of a grind to 70 on my alts.

The patch where the new honor system was put in. You know the one where HW gear became honor buyable that was my favorite. Might of also had where the added the new TBC talents IDK.

2.3 hands down
as a mage and rogue I absolutely loved 2.3
Guild banks, faster leveling, subtely tree buff, the refreshment table and new evocation, New daily honor and badge quests, cooking quests, awesome badge rewards
but the thing that surprised me the most is that...
none of my mods broke, sometimes I got a little error with cartographer, but that was the only mod that was bugged! All the other patches always screwed over all my mods, but not 2.3! Basically I found nothing that irked me with this patch, which is why it's my favourite

Love 2.3, the leveling increase is wonderful, and the buff to Retribution Pallys. Also, like someone else said, none of my mods broke!

2.3 has everything I want in a patch...new instance, tons of new gear, and almost every class got a buff. (Ummm. Except for my warlock.) Even better, first patch without major UI breakage that I can remember.

1.10 was pretty good with the new weather effects which adds more immersion to the game, then obviously 2.3 because it gives all levels something

I know it's the most recent, but 2.3 really is the best patch as far as I can tell. Not only did it give us TONS of adjustments and fixes that we've been wanting for a long time, but it gave us the awesome Zul'Aman, which seems to be the coolest dungeon in the game (though I've never been in).

While I have enjoyed WoW greatly since then, nothing beat rushing off to my death against the Horde protecting cities. Just goes to show that players came make their own content at times when they run out of prescribed activities (quests, raids, battleground, what-not).

I know it's fresh in everyone's minds, but i still think 2.3 really was the best patch.
my favorite part of it was dustwallow marsh- instead of the horrible dive into stranglethorn hell, you have a 34-40 zone you can escape too ever other level with outland-esque content that flows smoothly from one quest to the next.
now if only they would revamp all the other zones to be like that...

1.9 wasn't a paladin revamp, it was a gutting of the talent trees and the thing which forced the class to the back of raids for the next year.

If I could I'd vote for the cluster from 1.5 - 1.7 (and maybe even 1.8 and 1.9). That's a group of patches that introduced game changing new content that virtually everyone got to experience in the long run. Anyone remember the length of time between those patches?

Wasn't 1.8 also when warlock dots greatly increased in duration and they gave us the new deathcoil? That was a huge change and the beginning of what the warlock class is today.

To shorten the 40% response to 2.3: I can about guarantee it's the increased levelling.

It's kind of hard to beat the improved mid level content, in my opinion.
