Bornakk confirms that, as Robin posted here the other day, players will need Burning Crusade to complete the Battleground daily quests.Which brings up the question, yet again, of why there would be people out there who still haven't picked up the expansion that released almost one year ago. It's $30 at Amazon right now (which means you could probably find it in a few places online for less than that), and given all of the content now available, not only in Outland, but back in Azeroth, it's really a no brainer.
Now, maybe you just didn't want to make the investment of the Battlechest, and maybe you haven't yet reached 70 and figure you don't need to play BE or Draenei or do these daily quests. Maybe 60 is good enough for you, and jewelcrafting isn't your thing. But especially with the holidays coming up, it's not surprising at all that Blizzard is placing more and more content behind the Dark Portal. If you haven't installed the expansion yet, why not?

If you get to 70 without BC, I'd be impressed. Mostly because it's impossible.

I've just bought a second copy of TBC so that I can play on a friends account who left WoW well over a year ago. He has a 60 priest (a class I wanted to try), so I thought that it'd be cheaper (in time) than levelling my own priest from 0-70.
Blizzard are getting their money from what would otherwise be a frozen account, I'm getting a new toy to play with for a little while. Everyone's a winner. My motivations for doing so isn't because of Daily Quests and outland's level 70 content, rather the 60-70 questing and 70 PvP.

A friend of mine just started a couple of months ago and didn't see the point of buying it until she got closer to level 60. Of course now she's almost level 50 even with her limited available playtime. I guess I have something to get her for the Holidays.

I hardly see how those dailies are motivation to buy the expansion. I personally haven't been able to complete a single one since they were introduced, but I suppose that could just be due to the alliance on shadowburn being god awful at everything pvp.

I stopped playing WoW a little bit before BC came out...
I recently got back into it (a buddy of mine is in the same situation)...
At this point, I haven't bought BC because I guess I figure that by the time I get to lvl 60 (we're around 35 now) WotLK will be out...
Which brings up an interesting question, I guess; What if you get WotLK but you never bought BC? Are they going to let me into Outland id I but WotLK? Are they going to offer some other viable path from lvl 60 to 70 if they don't let me into Outland?

I haven't done it myself but it is possible to get to 70 without hitting the Outlands it just takes alot longer since you can only really do it mostly by grinding. The last few levels before hitting 70 you'll be hanging outside of Kara since the mobs there are around 70.

My father and I play WoW as something we can talk about. He plays but has yet to even reach 50. He does not think it is worth his money if he hasn't reached the material the BC gives (granted, there is jewelcrafting). This is the reason why we have never gotten the expansion for him. However, it will probably never go down past the $19.99 mark so it'll make a decent stocking stuffer.

@10...it IS impossible to level to 70 without BC, as BC unlocks the level cap from 60.
I got the battlechest for $39 at Best Buy a few weeks ago when I created a new account and rerolled...I was playing on a forgotton account of a freind, and got really freaking bored with my guild's lack of progress. So I rerolled horde and changed servers.

@9 you will need BC to be able to play WotLK.
I don't have BC either. What I have seen of it, while watching friends play, doesn't appeal to me. I also don't care much about daily quests, I'm not in need of gold and I'm not much of a raider either. So I happily keep leveling alts :)
I like what I've seen of WotLK so far, but I'm not looking forward to having to play 8 lvls of Outland before being able to play in Norththrend :-/

#5, I generate 50g a day by just doing the dailies on two toons at Skettis. Takes about 10-15 minutes to do both, easiest 25g per toon per day you can get.

Am I the only one that remembers Blizzard saying that they were still going to produce content for non-expansion players? Hahahaha.

My L70 Warrior never leaves Outland (except for BGs) and I have to drag myself away to play my alts, solely with the objective of getting them to Outland as soon as possible. I guess before I got there I didn't know what I was missing, but I can't imagine WoW without TBC now - it'd be half the game it is for me.

Got BC yesterday, tried out a daily quest at Warsong Gulch, good stuff :). I got XP as well as honour for it though, will that always happen, or is that only the first time?

I only have one toon, and he's 39, so i'm not in any rush to buy the expansion. It also kind of bothers me that its $30, which is 2 months of subscription time. Don't they have enough of my money?
Lastly, i was kinda hoping that the next expansion was either going to include BC or at least pull the focus off the original expansion so new quests and things would require WotLK instead. Then i'd buy every-other expansion or something...
