For my part, In the time just before and after Patch 2.3, I was busy working on the Netherwing quests in southeastern Shadowmoon Valley. I was having a great time with them, but a few things annoyed me. As a hunter, my pet wouldn't despawn properly when I summoned the temporary dragon mount that shows up whenever you go to do your daily quests on Netherwing Ledge. Sometimes, when my mount would change from a gryphon to a dragon in mid-flight, and my pet would fall to his death in the chasm below. This has now been fixed! Also I noticed then that everyone who was sitting on their Netherwing mounts on the ground was sitting a little bit tilted off to the side, and now everyone is sitting straight up again! Finally, the Netherwing mounts now trail their glowing nether energy effect as you fly around with them, and it's quite pretty.
Yes, that's a lot of Netherwing details, I know. But all of us notice the changes we happen to be focusing on at the moment, right? What were you focusing on, and what little things did you notice on patch day?

Disguises stack with shadowform now! It used to be that things like turning into a human in Old Hillsbrad or the Halloween wands would cancel shadowform, which made me sad because it meant that I could never join into the costuming fun in raids if I wanted to stay effective. Last night in AV a random stranger gave me a ninja costume... and I become a shadow ninja! Can't wait to run Old Hillsbrad like that.

My favorite little thing with 2.3 were the tooltip changes to Combat Mana Potions. It used to be a nightmare figuring out which stack (I keep 4 stacks of 10) I had depleted since they all had the same name and icon. It was a game of trial and error figuring which Mana Potion I was using for which Battleground. It's much easier now:
"An old bootleg recipe from the Arathi Basin farm."
"Extracted from the frozen waters of Alterac Valley."
"Sifted from the twisting nether of the Eye of the Storm."
"Distilled only within the hollow log of Warsong Gulch."
It's a small touch Blizzard really should have thought of in the beginning. Better late than never.

The animation of the Apexis Relics around Orgi'la has been changed slightly. It will display a bright circle now when it's your turn to click the colors.

Gnome females have larger shoulders and more importantly larger casting particles.
For example the fire surrounding your hands is bigger when you cast a fire spell, and the shield that pops over your head is bigger when you cast an armor spell. They are now equal to male gnomes in the respect and no longer have super tiny casting effects!

the global cooldown change.
i also consider it interesting that wowinsider has chosen not to cover the biggest mess up blizzard has made in recent memory, considering the 3000+ post thread in the forums regarding the topic.

The world map pulses red on the borders if you're attacked while you're looking at it.
And the L70 Elite Tauran Chieftan up on the balcony in Silvermoon. You can /wave and they'll wave back, /cheer... I'm still figuring out what other remotes they respond to.

All these are really neat things I mostly hadn't noticed. With regard to #6's comment though, we have a long post coming up today about the global cooldown issue -- it's certainly not a "little detail."

The ground foliage (ground "clutter" in the options) no longer 'pops' into view 20 yards in front of you while moving through wooded areas such as Felwood for example. This has bugged me since day 1 because that shouldn't happen when all graphic options are maxed out. It does still happen actually, but its waaaaaay far out almost to the horizon now, and barely noticeable.

On my computer at least, enchanting/base item glows have gotten almost ridiculous. I don't mind, my Staff of Polarities looks like a black hole while I'm in shadowform.

On my priest I've noticed that the aura around me when I'm shielded sometimes disappears several seconds before the buff actually expires. I have to look at the icon up top with my other buffs to see if it's still working.

The one thing that reeeeeally ticks me off, which is most noticeable in BG's, is that when you kill someone, the auto-select for the next person to go after defaults to whatever pet is nearest. Whether it's a lock's demon or a hunter's pet, it will skip the 5 people right in front of me to target the pet on the other side of the crowd. I have to hit tab multiple times to find a real character to target, and half the time, it just keeps going back and forth between pets. REALLY annoying, and has resulted in some bad pulls from pets not even interested in me.

Just noticed this last night (thought it was a bug) but the npc that previously stood between the two docks leading to the lifts in southern barrens (The Great Lift), was moved to the bottom of the lift, likely so alliance can travel south onto the lift and not get attacked/flagged by him just trying to get there.

What I've noticed is odd pet behavior, not just for hunters, but warlocks as well (and I do like that the warlock pets also attempt to attack from behind the enemy).
But the change has caused an issue with the pathing of the pets. I was running some people through vc, and when I was on the top of the boat (flat surface, mind you) and commanded my pet to attack van cleef in the room, my pet proceeded to run behind me and back down the boat! And this happened 3 times in a row! Fortunately he behaved after that.
Bad thing is, the poor pet pathing in instances can accidentally pull WAY more aggro than intended and cause a wipe. I hope blizz fixes this asap.
