One thing I love about patches is the ridiculous bugs that come along -- and this one is a doozy. The shaman Tier 6 vendor in Mount Hyjal is now selling the restoration Tier 6, Skyshatter Raiment, for the low, low price of 0 tokens and 0 gold.
Of course, you have to be attuned to Mount Hyjal to take advantage of this deal, which requires you to be a fairly progressed raider already -- but enough people have been picking them up to necessitate an immediate Blizzard response. Drysc warned shammies last night that they would be going to "great lengths" to track down the Tier 6, and would destroy any enchants or gems on the ill-gotten gear.
Of course, the thread turns into shamans complaining about their class, but there are some good questions: what about people who buy and re-buy the sets and disenchant them into Void Crystals for the AH? Will this ruin the enchanting economy? What about guilds that can suddenly progress due to an infusion of incredibly well-geared shamans? Is this the literal definition of welfare epics?
Some people are asking Blizzard to bring the servers down until this is fixed, but that seems unlikely. What do you think Blizzard should do about this?

Well at this point I think Blizz should allow Shamans who noticed it to keep the equipment/de items since its their mistake. Too bad my shaman isn't high enough or progressed enough to get that gear.

Fix it and let those who exploited it keep their spoils. The old addage, "Finder's keepers, loser's weepers" comes to mind.

Am I the only one amused that it was the resto set, and ONLY the resto set?

A part of me has to agree with @4. Blizzard did make the mistake and they shouldn't punish people for figuring it out. I mean the government doesn't really nail you if you find a loop hole in the law. They just close it afterward. If I was blizz though I would immeditaly remove the vendor from the game until the bufg is fixed.

It's obviously not working as intended, so exploiting it is... well, it's an exploit.
And you all know what happens.

I wondered why there were so many damn Void Crystals on the AH today -- and all for ridiculous prices. This really needs to be fixed soon. -_-

Yeah but since when does Blizzard ever let people get away with shit. Absolutely never. I wouldn't even say there is a remote chance. Especially since it's the most desired of Dungeon set gear. I would bet my WoW account on the fact they will revert everyone back very soon.
Enjoy it now while it's equipped on your character is all I am saying. Use your common sense people.

Its a mistake and will be fixed. Those who got free T6 will have it magically disappear. Anything else is unfair.
Lets says the government makes a mistake and says you own zero in taxes this year. Do you really think they are going to let you go with paying zero in taxes when the catch the mistake? No, you are going to have to pay the full amount, and possibly with late fees and interest because you are late.
How about, lets say a football player who accidentally gets a $3 million bonus check twice. Once the accountants find the error, do you think they will let him keep the 3 million? No, he will have to pay it back in full. Only a moron like Brian Westbrook spends the money without asking his lawyer/accountant for advice first.
In the end, those who have earned T6 will have T6. Those whole STOLE their T6 will have to give it back. Anything else is unfair to the WoW population as a whole.

If they get to keep thier gear, then they better do the same thing for holy paladins! Forget that, erase the gear from the toon, too bad to whoever took advantage of it and got rid of the old stuff.

Somehow they'll figure a way to apply another warlock nerf in association with the resolution for the T6 error. It only seems right.
Meanwhile, I think that this is going to cause a lot of headaches the shammy population has yet to even fully realize. How far into the weeds is Blizzard going to go? Are they going to confiscate all the DE goods that are on the AH? Are they going to confiscate them from the bag sof those who bought them already? Are they going to confiscate the gold from the ones who put the DE'd goods on the AH in the first place? Are they going to give that money back to the players who bought it? Are they going to be able to rectify any issues regarding accidentally taking from those who got their T6 legit, bought legit DE'd goods at the AH? Or are we smelling a server roll-back for the masses?? That would suck.
