Although your time to farm before the release of the patch is quickly dwindling, hopefully everyone will be able to spend some quality time over the weekend preparing for next Tuesday. It's always difficult to accurately predict what will be big sellers, especially since the economy on one server may be radically different than another. With this in mind, I've decided to simply provide a list of all the items that will be used in new trade recipes or for obtaining the new reputation rewards.Alchemy:
Elemental:
Enchanting:
Engineering:
Food: Herbalism:
Mining:
Reputation Items:
- Arakkoa Feather
- Bog Lord Tendril
- Coilfang Armaments
- Fertile Spores
- Glowcap
- Mature Spore Sac
- Sanguine Hibiscus
- Unidentified Plant Parts
Misc:
I've tried to be as thorough as possible while composing this list. Please let me know if I've missed something and post your predictions as to what may or may not be good sellers.

Engineering-made injectors will no longer require engineering skill in 2.3. They should sell well.

Under engineering you should add Powerful Seaforium Charge. 4 are required for the engineering mount and only engineers revered or higher with consortium can make them.

I was looking at the MMO Champion's list of items that were being upgraded, and figured that a few of them would be really awesome pre-patch nabs. I've got a few alts in their teens that I'm thinking about leveling or twinking (*ducks the incoming throwing axes*).
For example, what used to be this chump white hammer (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=5187) with 11.-something dps is now a blue with 17.7 dps AND +11 Stamina! I bought the white version for 8s from the AH yesterday, and I'm hoping it'll upgrade into a pretty blue when the patch rolls out. Also from Deadmines, the Buzz Saw and Buzzer Blade are now blue items that were once white items. And from SFK, the Rugged Spaulders - white shoulders - are now blue and give +8 Agility.
I know it's lowbie stuff, but if you've got wee little alts, giving them a cheap boost without an instance run(through) is a nice gift!

@3 Regarding stuff like Rhahk'Zor's Hammer, it looks like most of the items are already BoP, and I'm betting the ones with major upgrades will become BoP, so there probably won't be a market for them on the AH after 2.3 arrives.
Makes me wonder, though.... what will happen to an item on the AH that becomes BoP. I'm guessing it'll be dumped back to the owner.

I'm storing every crate I fish up 'til the patch drops. I very much doubt the loot for the crates is determined until you open it and hope to get the fish tracking manual outta one of 'em.
