You may have noticed a mention in the latest PTR notes to a pot called "Mad Alchemist's potion," which will actually require a certain alchemy level to consume, not just make. A lot of alchemists were wondering what this does-- considering the cool Engineering-only stuff we've seen lately, us alchemists could use a little pick-me-up. Nothing crazy-- I do admit that Engineers deserve lots of love-- but a little something to drown our sorrows in while watching Engies fly past on their new mounts. And now, Drysc has revealed exactly what it is-- it'll be a "trainable alchemist-only rejuvenation potion" (which means it delivers health and mana), and will provide a random elixir buff to the drinker. And what's more, the elixir buff won't replace ones you already have on, so if we read this correctly, that's three elixir buffs for alchemists. Very nice. And the best part: it's cheap. Drysc reckons it's about a crystal vial and two ragveil. Start saving up your ragveil now-- when 2.3 hits, they'll be in high demand.
Update: The potion is still hard to find on the servers, so we're not sure what the random buffs are yet. Eventually, I'm sure we'll know exactly that this thing does, but for now, all we know is that alchemists are getting a potion for themselves in 2.3.

Well, it's a cheaper rejuvenation potion, to be sure, but if those are really the supposed 'buffs,' then I'll be clicking it off.
I wonder if the buff effects would be modified by the Alchemist's Stone... that'd be just a smidge broken.

I seriously doubt that those are the buffs. They're the ones you get in Zangarmarsh when you kill the insects. They wouldn't be that lazy, and most of those buffs do more harm than good.
But anyway, I'm glad that Blizz is giving each profession their own unique stuff that only they can use. It would be nice if they added something for the gathering professions though.

Sounds neat, but saying "Drysc has revealed exactly what it is" is overstating the case a bit. We still don't know HOW MUCH mana and health it will regenerate, and Drysc was only hinted at the possible materials.
Bottom Line: The patch notes say "Added a new potion to alchemy trainers: Mad Alchemist's Potion. This new potion requires Alchemy to consume." but the trainers don't actually have it yet. I'm cautiously optimistic, but the fact is, we're still in the dark.

As of last night, just before the PvE test realm went down, I found the recipe on the trainer in Shatt, and had the time to go and make a quantity.

The buffs it's supposed to give don't work atm.
Those are definitely not the buffs it gives in the link.

Except that the thread you link to for the proc effects is wrong if you look at the thread on the Test Realm forums you'll see everyone has discounted the thread you linked to as being bogus and the potions appear to be bugged and not procing at all.

Buh? 3 elixir effects? not likely, most likely if you have two on, the buff from the potion won't overwrite the ones you already have

I agree with @9 on that. It would be a bit of a shock if it added a 3rd buff.

Umm it's not hard to find it's just not working right. It's trainable from the Master Alchemy trainer in Shattrah. The posts from people saying they couldn't find it was from people seeing it in the patch notes that went up before the patch went live last night.

I used 10 of them in a row and never got anything. It's a very nice potion anyway though.

It isn't too difficult to fathom a third buff. If you pick Netherbloom, you know the mechanic is already in place and works well.
