IncGamers has a great tip for those of you who were on the last Public Test Realm, and can't wait for the 2.3 PTR to come up (and I know you're out there-- you're like PTR locusts!). Make sure to, right now, delete your WoW test realm folders, so that when the new realm comes out, it'll automatically download to the right place and you won't have to worry about anything getting mixed up.In Windows, apparently Blizzard is recommending that you do a Find Folders and Files (Windows key + F) for "wowtest," and delete everything that pops up. On the Mac, everything is neat and tidy (as usual)-- it's all in the /Applications/World of Warcraft/WoWTest folder. Delete that, and you're good to go for the 2.3 PTRs.
I don't know if this is really required-- it seems to me that the WoW PTR Client would likely just overwrite anything whatever you had in those folders, and your PTR download would still work. But you never know-- maybe files will be left behind if you don't delete, so it's probably best to clear everything out and start over with the new download (and I bet it'll be a big one-- this is a big content patch). Plus, you can feel like you're all ready for patch 2.3: bring on the new PTR!

Yes, the heavily anticipated 2.3 will have to wait for 2.2.3.
A blizzard poster hinted that it will be fixes to the sound system that they "broke" in 2.2.
GG blizzard.

You do need to delete wowtest prior to installing 2.3
When 2.2.2 was released on the PTR, if you did not delete 2.2 prior to install the NPCs involved in Brewfest appeared as small blue and white checkered cubes.

Blues from with the US and EU PTR forums has confirmed that you need to delete your wowtest folder so it's a pretty safe bet that you have to.

on the PC it's nothing more than C:\\World of Warcraft\Wowtest.
(where the path would be 'program files' if it's a default install.)
my guess is that the method blizz outlined covers their bases if people did a custom path install -- search for wowtest and the folder you need to blitz is usually at the top of the list.
can't say this is any less neat or tidier than the mac -- easier, maybe.

Yeah, it's not really any neater on the Mac. On both systems, you simply open up your "World of Warcraft" folder (either in "C:\Program Files\" [PC] or /Applications [Mac]), and delete the "wowtest" folder inside. Quick, simple, and easy.

And I'll reiterate the importance of deleting previous wowtest folders before installing a new test client. Even if Blizz installers are smart enough to replace their old files, it probably won't clear out old settings/addons/addon settings, etc. Just start fresh and make your testing actually count, rather than spend time troubleshooting a bad install.

I can't wait for the PTR's to come online again, they're a great place to test builds, specs, gear, etc, etc! And it's always fun to raid SW or IF with 50/60

This post needs to be updated to reflect the fact that the upcoming PTR is 2.2.3, not 2.3.
Don't get peoples hopes up more then they already are.

Uh, what are all these people talking about? 2.2.3 Will not have any testing needed outside of Blizzards in-house testing crew. It will basically be, turn on speakers kill mob, listen, release.
2.3 Has already been announced to be hitting the Test Realms somewhere between now and next week.

Relying on random users to test your patch, not a good idea. I test games for a living; I'm sure as hell not going to test Blizzard's game for free. :)
