A post I saw while crawling the forums during one of my 'no sleep' periods has me wondering the same thing the original poster is: where in the Outland are Turalyon and Alleria? We were told prior to The Burning Crusade's launch that we would discover the fate of the Alliance Expedition, but while we've found out about Danath (running Honor Hold), Khadgar (communing with A'dal in Shattrah) and Kurdran (he's running the Wildhammer Stronghold in Shadowmoon Valley) we've yet to see more of the fate of the two last members than the surprising fact that they have a son who is now grown up enough to wear Pally Tier 2. I wonder if anyone has told the Horde that Sylvanas is an auntie? (And man, I don't even want to think about the kind of gifts Auntie Sylvanas would give.)
Personally, although I can hardly pretend to be the lore expert around here (we all know who that is) I'm enough of a mark for the lore that I want to see what happened to the guy who picked up Lothar's fallen sword and kicked Doomhammer's ass up and down Blackrock Mountain. (My tauren would just like to tell me to stuff it here.) Not to mention all the possible drama of a Windrunner family reunion. Are there any in-game clues to where these two ended up? Does anyone think we'll find out more when the Sunwell Plateau goes live, or are we going to have to wait for Wrath of the Lich King, or maybe even beyond that?
Edited to add: I forgot to mentioin that, despite the Allerian Srronghold bearing her name and having several high elves manning it, Alleria is not to be found there.

Alleria has a stronghold in Terrokar Forest, doesn't she? Southeast of Shattrath?

Well, it is a fair bet that they made it as far as Allerian Stronghold, since it's named for her. And the kid wanders around honor hold, so they may have left him there or at some other as-yet-unseen location. Given her ties to Sylvanas and to the other Blood Elves, it is quite possible we will see them at Sunwell Plataeu, or maybe a future CoT instance will take us to Draenor during the sundering, and we will catch a glimpse of their fates.

According to the story of the Warcraft 2 expansion the remainder of the Alliance expedition dove into various portals as the planet was being torn apart. Though this has obviously been updated, perhaps Metzen has decided that at least these two *did* enter a portal, opening up possibilities for further expansions.
And actually, Sylvanas is already an auntie to another half-breed child and it wouldn't surprise me at all if we got to meet him/her (was it twins? It's been a while since I've read the books) in WotLK.

Vereesa Windrunner was mother to two half-elven twins.
The father is Rhonin, current leader of the Kirin Tor.
When WtLK comes out we'll find him in Dalaran, maybe with family will be there with him, but you never know with these mages...

How exactly do you pronounce Turalyon? I'm on that server and have on going battles with guild members on how you say it.

I was more interested in seeing them in Black Temple than in Northrend. Two things, a progression from Dark Portal to Shattrath to Allerian Stronghold in the direction of the Black Temple made so much more sense that one or both to be prisoners there.
Second, if the Dark Portal linking Outland and Azeroth JUST reopened in the expansion, how did we miss seeing these two come back through and make it to Northrend?
Then again, Blizzard never really told us why mages at the Portal and Shattrath are now able to open direct ports to the various cities when they couldn't have just done this before?

Metzen mentioned at Blizzcon at the lore panel we will meet them in the one of the Legion Worlds(the portals in Nagrand, Blade's Edge and Zangar) that will open up before or with WotLK.

The mage portal deal is that with the Dark Portal wide open the simple mage ones can pass through there just like everyone else. Nothing special. If the Dark Portal closed again, then there would be no access either way.
