The Fires of Outland booster set for the TCG is now available which means we all have a shot at getting a pack that includes the Spectral Tiger Mount. This highly sought after loot card attracted almost 6000 entries for the WoW Insider contest where we gave one away. It also garnered $2000 on eBay. So for the 5919 of you who didn't win one from us and for all of us who are not able or willing to pay thousands of dollars for one, all you have to do is buy Fires of Outland booster packs until you get your very own Spectral Tiger Mount.
Of course, some of you actually play the TCG for fun and Upper Deck Entertainment provides a handy tournament search tool for you to find a tournament near you.
Will you be trying for a Spectral Tiger Mount? If so, do you want it to use or sell?

Buy the packs and take the opportunity to play the game, seriously, you won't regret it. WoW Radio offers live tutorials as well as some learn-to-play podcasts on the matter. Just pop by our IRC and we'll set you up with the virtual client so you can try it out.
Though I have to say I would not recommend starting by buying Fires of Outland boosters. They're a little more advanced than the base sets. Buy a Dark Portal or Heroes of Azeroth starter deck, better yet buy several, since they'll give you the basic cards you need to kick off as well as a few nice blues. Then start buying boosters. All 3 sets have some killer cards you don't want to miss out on anyway.
And if you get a Tiger in the process, grats. Personally, I'll be riding it when I get mine.

It's times like these I'm glad I know distributors, and can get the boosters at a more 'reasonable' price.
If I come across one, I'll be keeping it in game. If I come across two, I'll likely cash in on the frenzy.

By the time you buy all the decks necessary to find the Spectral Tiger mount card you'll probably have spent thousands. So you might as well head straight to e-bay and get it faster.

#2 how reasonable? When I used to play the Decipher Star Wars card game, we always used to buy the boxes online at around 50-60% the cost of retail. Only way to fly, really.

@4 Alternatively, play the game. It's a lot of fun with friends. Buying tons of cards just to get a loot card is a waste of good cardboard...
A box is around $60 a pop. When I was buying booster boxes for the previous sets, I ended up with approximately 1 loot card per box. I don't really think you'd end up spending 1000s to be quite honest.

I was lucky enough to pull a Tiger Loot card from my comp product from the Fires of Outland Sneak Preview. I sold it so I could have some money for GenCon (though I didn't sell it for enough, it went to a friend, so I don't feel so bad for not making as much as I should have from it).
At GenCon, I was lucky enough to be able to get another code and am now the happy owner of a Tiger Mount in-game. Now I just need to get enough gold together to buy the epic version. . . . *sigh*

Personally I would use it for myself. But as somebody else said IF i came across two I think I might try to sell it.
I play horde only, and want a tiger mount so bad. My guild was considering running zg repeatedly for a while just to try and farm up a tiger mount, but decided against it.

Sold the first chance I get.
Granted, I probably won't be able to rake in 2 grand, but I'm sure I can come pretty close...

A] The only one of these absurdly rare mounts (the drop mounts AND the CCG mounts) that is worth anything is the Ashes of A'lar, because it's a 310% flier. No way is buying a ton of cardboard or grinding Attumen (or worse, Rivendare) for a ground-only mount worth it.
B] "Try the game! It's fun!". I know a lot of people use the "you don't know until you try it" come-back when I say I have no desire to try something so utterly retarded as a WoW CCG, but to those people I say: "eat a pile of shit and lemme know how it tastes, because I'm not trying it"

I have a couple boxes of each of the first two sets... so I'm sure I'll buy a couple boxes of this set at some point as well.
I'd totally sell the tiger, regardless of how cool it looks. Then again, I'd kinda like to sell all the rest of the cards I have as well, but I'm not finding much luck with that.
The TCG didn't work out much for me. I didn't find a lot of players, and I found a LOT of stores being total dickwads with the cards and charging 2-3x MSRP for packs when the game came out just because they could. That sort of profiteering really bugs me, and I didn't really feel comfortable supporting those stores anymore. I think TCG's were awseome back in the day, and I was a competitive MTG player 10 years ago... but something about this game just didn't draw me in so I stopped trying to play and just collect the cards to get 1 of everything.

#5: 54% MSRP. And I play the card game, so it's a win-win situation for me. If I don't pull a Tiger, I still have reinforced my existent collection.

Gotta love narrow-minded blinkered posters like #10. YEAH, I'M NOT GONNA PLAY THEIR SHITTY TCG LOLOLOL... not that I've ever actually tried it therefore have absolutely no basis to judge it on.
If you don't like TCG's then fine, but for anyone that's actually played them, they know the WoW TCG's got solid mechanics and is fun to play with friends. Though I can imagine it would be a problem if you didn't have any friends, which with an obnoxious attitude like that, is pretty damn likely.

Last I checked it was way cheaper to buy booster boxes on eBay.... Its what I did. Sadly no loot cards for me. Apparently the insertion rate for the mount card is something like 1 in every two CASES of booster boxes.

I'm glad I play the TCG, Its very good and not what most players would think it would be like.
So far I bought one box and didn't get a mount, but I got lots and lots of epics for my decks. Another box is on the way tho.

Which link on the product page isn't working? I don't see a "buy it now" on the page you linked, but the "Add to Cart" button is working fine for me.
