It seems to have generated lots of interest, and sounds very fun! It's world PvP based, obviously, but it provides enough structure and basic rules to turn ganking into a game. Here's a quick overview:
- There are 3 targets at a time.
- Post a screenshot of your kill, and then pick 3 new targets from your own faction.
- All targets must be level 70 and not in a BG.
- You can't tell the targets that they're being hunted.
- Playing dirty is encouraged.
- Example: Targets are now Narkan, Pacsan, and Mitsuomi. If Volarun was to come into Orgrimmar and gank Narkan and post a SS proving the kill, the Horde hunt would end and Volarun would get to choose 3 new alliance targets.

Seen this and variations of this a handful of times over the years. It's a good idea and pretty fun.
On a PvE server, you have to notify the 3 targets and have them agree to permaflag, otherwise the game loses its momentum.

We had a mage on my server (yes, PVE) who was a notorious bitch on the realm forums, in general chat, and in any group foolish enough to take her along. Fortunately, she was also working on her honor points, which means spending five minutes flagged after each BG match ends. A brave Horde rogue, presumably with Alliance spotters helping, snuck into Ironforge, waited for her to come out into the city proper while still flagged, and ganked her. The bystanders decided to let the Rogue leave alive in appreciation for his deed.
