Enchanting tweaks on the PTRs
World of Raids has pointed out some lowered enchanting costs that are showing up on the latest build of the public test realms. However, changes at present only seem to apply to enchanter-only ring enchants (if you're not familiar, these enchants soulbind the item when enchanted, so they're only useful to enchanters), so if you aren't an enchanter, the following is probably of no interest. However, if you are an enchanter, happy days! The cost of enchanting your rings seems to be dropping significantly in the next patch. For precise details on the current and future costs, read on!
[Thanks, Akyl]

How about dropping the mat requirements on some of the pre-TBC 250-300 point enchants (and other professions)?

This should make it easier to level enchanting from 360 to 375, although I don't know if I can wait until this goes live (might take just a little while I'm guessing....lol).

wow- that spellpower decrease is GREAT. I'm saving up for doing my ring now, and it's great to know that the mats I currently have that won;t even do one ring will now do BOTH!

The biggest perk here is for skillups. Well, that and having some shards saved up for when Wrath comes out so you can enchant your level 71 greens. :)

Less than 24 hours ago, I enchanted both my rings, which put a big dent in my epic flying mount fund. Well as long as 2.2 doesn't come out next week, I guess it was still worth it, as it's given me a nice DPS boost.

Nice too for enchanting the Violet Eye ring that every reputation level gets "upgraded" meaning you have to re-enchant it.

Oh thank goodness. The ring enchants are so over priced, especially for something kind of mediocre you can only do to yourself, that you can't bother to do them until you have nice epic rings.
