I was thinking about Zul'Aman the other day, the incoming 10 man dungeon, if for no other reason than it will probably be the next place my guild goes after Kara: we don't really have enough people to do more than the occasional Gruul or Magtheridon PuG's. (I've actually done more SSC PuG's than either of those, amazingly enough. And I died a lot.) Now, I remembered that some folks are unhappy with Zul'Aman being located in a Horde zone, especially on PvP servers. That then got me to thinking about the announcement from Blizzcon that there would be at least one more five man dungeon before the expansion. I'm not sure if that's been changed by the announcement of an 'Old Stratholme' CoT for level 80 or not, but it all combined in my head and I started wondering where, exactly, they should put a new 5 man dungeon?
Obviously you'd want to avoid the issues around Zul'Aman by not sticking it in a Horde or Alliance controlled zone, so Stormwind Vault is probably out unless the Horde gets some kind of teleport or back door. That still leaves a lot of zones available to us, though. With the advent of Caverns of Time instances that look like open, outdoor zones why not open up Azshara Crater? It would be nice to have a reason to go there now that Azuregos isn't really a draw anymore, and we haven't had a Night Elf/Naga instance since Blackfathom Deeps.
Heck, maybe the entire zone behind the Greymane Wall could be a giant instance. What's up in Gilneas? There's rumors of Worgen infestations, Naga on their shores, undead in the hills... I'd personally love to get a chance to ride into the place and check it out. Maybe Genn Greymane's insane, a puppet of the Naga, or even a giant Worgen sitting on a pile of bones that used to be his own people? Well, okay, probably not. Still, there's plenty of room for a new instance in either Azeroth or Outland... Winterspring, Felwood, Blade's Edge and Nagrand all lack one, and both Winterspring (with the demons of Darkwhisper Gorge) and Nagrand (with Oshu'gun) even have likely places to put one.
So where would you want to go adventuring next? Where would you put a new instance, and what would it be?
Edited to add: I'm reminded that Gruul's lair is in Blade's Edge. I meant more five man content, but with a raid in there already, maybe Blade's Edge has enough on its plate. Especially with the Ogri'la quests. Still, an ancient Apexis Ruin could always surface.

My all time favorite zone is Duskwood. I don't like that the only instance for that zone is Stockades. Stockades is terrible. It's boring and the drops are lousy. I love the whole Mor'Ladim and Stavlan questlines so maybe expanding on them and making those guys bosses would just be the bees knees for me. Make it spooky and creepy, running through graveyards and masoleums, etc. It sounds like a combo of SM and Strat but I love those two instances as well so having something like that low level would be very cool.

Are there any empty spaces in Outland they could use? I can't think of any, but then they could just add another island out in the Nether.
Azshara Crater was going to be a Battleground. I don't know if its layout is really suited for a dungeon.

I love speculation about Gilneas... ever since I stared at the gates on my lv 20 undead, and coming back there to uncover hidden reagents at lv 60 for a quest really brings you back. Heroic SFK plus 3-4 other instances would be perfect.
Blizzard really should release a multi-winged 5-man like the many instances in Outland. That really worked well for the expansion, and giving players more than one instance to explore in a content patch would be a smart decision.

My guess...
Uldum (in Tanaris) for the new 5-man. WLK will continue the Dwarf history, and this instance could be a pivotal piece to leading up to that (after all the last time we touched on that story line was Uldaman).
Grim Batol for the new 25-man raid. Dragons is good killing. It'd be nice to get away from all the demon/alien crap too and get back to a good old dragon slaying instance.
Other than adding in more CoT instances I see these two as the most likely canditates, and in all honesty they can't keep relying on that place for new content 'cause it'd get old fast.

Two lower level instances that would be 15-25 in lvl range, One in Ghostlands called The Catacombs (Instance of undead) and one in Bloodmyst called The Core (Instance of Blood Elves working for Kael'thas Sunstrider who took control of the Exodars power source) I have been thinking along those lines for new 19 bracket twink gear.

@5 and 8:
Yeah, those are good thoughts.
Uldam is a logical choice; it continues the lore chain that so abruptly ends in Uldaman.
Of course, because it *is* logical is exactly why Blizz won't implement it.
Grim Batol? That would be nice, too... but once again, it's old lore stuff, and Blizz just isn't very focused (if at all) on this stuff anymore.
Shame.

What about Alcaz Island, off the shore of Dustwallow Marsh? Its purpose has been bugging me for a long time.

I'd be surprised to find out that Alcaz Island wasn't involved in whatever they're doing in Dustwallow. I'm also somewhat suspicious of the new WoW comic and how it relates to the Missing Diplomat quest.

Gilneas? Haha!
Of the 7 human nations, Gilneas has always by far been one of the most powerful nations. Saying it would be overrun is like saying Stormwind is defeated by Hogger.!
The two reason Gilneas is not part of the Alliance is, 1. they're powerful enough to handle it themselves. 2. The Alliance had major taxes for the nation members to maintain the orc prisons.
Gilneas is still friendly towards the other human nations, despite the lockdown. A Gilneas Brigade joined Jaina to Theramore.

Coilfang's Naga and FUNGUS, man. :)
Seriously, I know it's naga infested, but it doesn't feel integral to the whole 'How the naga were born' storyline the way BFD does.

@ the two Alcaz Island remarks:
Alcaz Island *does* currently have a function.
You have to kill Doctor Weavil as part of the Scepter chain to open AQ40.
But yes, they should expand it to further the Missing Diplomat line.

"What about Alcaz Island, off the shore of Dustwallow Marsh?"
Alcaz Island was instrumental in two epic questlines. One being the openening of the gates of AQ (this quest can still be done by the way). The other was the Dungeon 2 set upgrades brought you to that island to collect items, for some of the classes anyway (this questline is still available).
The King of Stormwind used to be located there - but with the additional traffic added Blizzard 'removed' him.

I'd still like to see an all underwater instance. Sure, Coilfang (and even Sunken Temple to some slight degree) comes close but I'm talking about an all underwater instance.
How about doing something with the Isle of Dread, which has a very long cave that just ends. This could be a viable source for some underground Naga infested instance.
