As I was browsing the WoW forums earlier, I came across this little gem of a thread. A Druid named Scarmbrena from Boulderfist managed to obtain over 122,000 health (yes, you read that right) by stacking a buff called Mol'dar's Moxie.Mol'dar's Moxie, for those that don't remember the good old days of Dire Maul North "Tribute runs," was a buff given to you by Guard Mol'dar that grants an additional 15% stamina for 2 hours.
Scarmbrena describes in the thread how she was able to stack this buff a total of 15 times, bringing her total stamina to 11,896 and her health to a whopping 122,394! Just to put that in perspective, Pathaleon the Calculator (the last boss in the Mechanar), has 130,000 health.
Obviously, this qualifies as an abuse of game mechanics (albeit a creative one), but even more surprising is that the patch notes for 2.1 state that the Dire Maul Tribute buffs shouldn't work on a player over level 63, yet in the screenshot linked in the thread, Scarmbrena is level 70.
I can't say I recommend that anyone try this since Scarmbrena almost got banned herself for it, but it is interesting to see a player amass that much health!

Why should they be banned for something that Blizz hasn't fixed?

i wanna know what idiot running with this god-like tank decided to hamstring his group by reporting him?
(unless of course there is some automated way for GMs to scan stats like this with no tip from another player)

I'm sure either Warden will flag this, or they have a system in place that reports anomalies and is picked up by a GM.

If I saw a druid with 122k health and a buff stacked 15 times going into SSC, I'd report it. It basically means an unkillable tank. The only difficuly would be in regenerating that much health after a pull.

I'm always hearing about players being banned for going here, or taking advantage of that programming mistake etc...
The players shouldn't be banned! It's Blizz's p!$$ poor programming that allowed it to happen in the first place!

If you can only reset an instance 5 times in 1 hour (it is 5, right?), how do you get 15 stacks of a 2 hour buff?
I'm not saying it didn't happen; I'm just curious.

I also think its a disgrace to threaten to bad someone for doing this...I think they on the other hand should thank the person for finding this unexpected feature, and then fix it.

My assumption for threatening to ban was that the player used the exploited game mechanics to their advantage. I don't think Blizz has a problem with finding bugs like this and reporting it to them privately, but to use it to your advantage (which the poster stated they were using in SSC) or make the information on how to do the bug public, is reason enough for Blizz to ban someone.

Yeah I almost got banned once in this old game. I trapped some turtle thing on some stairs and jumped on it until it gave me like 100 lives. The game makers said they didn't mean for the stairs to be used that way, and if I didn't stop they'd take my cartridge away from me. Apparently I am only supposed to do what has been approved and done before, exploring what is possible in the world is strictly forbidden.
So why do we have hotfixes if no one ever uses them?
