I think you mean "August 2nd" instead of "July 2nd".

It bothers me that Blizzard has not officially announced how the Murloc costume works. We don't know if it is a trinket or if we can use it in combat. As a tank I would love to be a murloc in combat with bosses, but not at the expense of one of my trinkets (at least not for raid bosses). Many people have posted asking Blizzard about this but as far as I can see there have been 0 replies.

@4
It would actually be babysitting if he has to take off work in order for her to go to the convention.
Do you know the circumstances of this so called "babysitting"?

#6, is a murloc costume.....settle down. Is it really going to kill you if you can't tank with it on?

The beta-key is most likely for the closed beta of WoW: WotLK, beginning around October/November 2007.
I'd be surprised if the test/release schedule would be much different from that of TBC last winter. Pressure through AoC and WH Online is high, and Blizzard certainly wants to have the expansion on the shelves by spring 2008 - the earlier, the better.

Mmm, a virtual item, unpaid beta testing, a magnet, a t-shirt and some paper cards.

As if those who can make it to the convention already weren't getting enough goodies, here is another one. I think a lot of people are going to make the cost of the ticket back in the stuff they're going to be able to sell from the goody bag.
But that may be my envy of not being able to go talking since east coast > west coast is expensive.
