A couple of thousand arena points? Both of them were too stubborn (and foolish), to give up, and they get exactly what they should get: 0 points for one, and a whopping 15 for the other. I hope it was worth it. I'm sure now that Weaslelawd has won, he'll be able to take his new found fame and glory and use it to gain money, houses and women. I know the ladies are just going to swoon when he recounts his epic battle that lasted 10 hours between his orc shaman and an elf druid on some online role-playing game. Women really like that kind of stuff. Hell, the next time he goes for a job interview, he can list this whole thing under accomplishments. I'm sure he'll be hired and promoted immediately.

And the loser, well, he should just admit what an utter failure he is and go live out his remaining life in the jungles of South America, or up above the Arctic Circle somewhere. We don't need his kind, the kind that can be defeated in a computer game with make believe points, weapons and armor, in our society. He should be ashamed, and I'm sure his parents have disowned him by now.

Okay, sarcasm aside, both of these guys, even though one has 15 arena points, are equal losers, for so, so many reasons.

Um, what? Cooldown is 30 minutes, unless it's different in arenas. Or maybe he didn't have the reagent?

You can't use skills with a cooldown of over 15 minutes in the arena.

Hmm, people had fun playing a game for 10 hours. Tell me again why they're supposedly losers?

For that matter, define what it is to be a loser. Is it just someone who isn't like you, or do you have something more significant to attribute to it?

You'd think maybe the Druid would go Cat form, go into prowl, and ambush the Resto Shaman, during downtime. Despite being Resto, the Druid would still have access to Cat and Bear forms.

You're making a pretty big assumption that they had fun playing those 10 hours. I'd confirm that somehow before you decide its all shits and giggles sitting in the same arena for 10 hours repeatedly healing yourself over and over.

And as for my definition of loser? Its actually very, very narrow. Its not people who are different than me, regardless of what you might think. It involves 2 groups of people:

1. Those who play in the Arena for 10 hours, nonstop, for 15 arena points.

2. Those who are so easily offended by the idea people who do waste 10 hours for 15 arena points could be branded losers by others that they feel the need to stand up for them in forum posts.

Oh, hey, I did something like this for a whole 5 minutes (if that) before I conceeded how futile my efforts as a shadow priest against either a tank bear or a restro druidy.

I was trying to capture the two points in Zanga and hide with my bird in one of those little towers. The druid found me and I scurried out. He stood on the tower now and I started popping dots, trinkets, everything on cooldowns. He /laughed, he /sighed....

Maybe I could have done enough damage with a fear but after silence wore off, he'd just heal up. I /laughed, /saluted, and let him keep the Zanga buff.

I had this exact same situation today with me being the resto shaman. This fight didn't last nearly as long though, the druid outdps'd me in catform and soaked dmg in bearform at low hp. He then healed himself and innervated. Since he could destroy my totems with less than 1 sec attacks, they were useless and the fight quickly turned in his favor.
I don't see how it could possibly last that long without being rigged somehow.

As a resto druid in a 3v3 arena, I have to say that if I were ever in the same situation, I'd just forfeit.

I had a 62 resto shaman and decided to duel a friend's level 65 prot pally (actually she decided to duel me, but meh). The duel lasted for 30 minutes, mostly of me running back and forth and throwing down earthbind totems, mana totems, then turning around and blasting the occasional shock at her. We dueled for 30 minutes, in which time our party had left us (our fault.) Eventually she won, and we decided never to duel again. Though I'm of the impression that had I been the same level of her and she wasn't resisting half of my attacks, I'd have won.

I have a REAL narrow definition of a loser. People who say things just to piss off other people to start a fight. In essence, trolls.

The biggest losers are the folks that call others losers. The second biggest group of losers are those that defend themselves to other losers on online forums and blog comments.

But before you point out the painfully obvious fact that I'm guilty of the former by calling you out as being losers, I'm admitting defeat. I play WoW. I read a blog about playing WoW. I'll come back later and read this post again. I, like so many of you, am a loser. Now if you'll just accept it and move on, we can get back to mindlessly grinding rep for some make-believe sword that ceases to exist the moment we stop paying a major corporation to destroy our lives.
