WoW Moviewatch: First look at the broom mount
No, the broom mount isn't a joke, because MMO-Champion has some nice video of it flying around in Shadowmoon Valley. And for my part, I'd much prefer it to the standard wyvern -- but we still don't know just how to acquire them.
Previously, on Moviewatch....

It's funny how sometimes the simple things can have such a big impact. I would MUCH rather have that simple broom to fly around on than the huge flashy netherdrake, which I'm actually surprised at my own reaction.
Not a big Harry Potter fan either so I don't think thats where the "ahhhh" facter is coming from.

I think every Harry Potter fan who sees that is gonna pee themselves. I know it tickled me gleeful.

They look a little awkward on there (which I guess would be understandable.)

I think that it is very likely that this mount is not a permanent mount, but a holiday mount for Hallow's Eve. It may be like Metzen the Reindeer, but I hope I'm wrong, I'd love to ride around on a broom all the time :)

Agree with 5.
It doesn't exactly fit into any sort of... lore standpoint, or anything in the Warcraft universe, does it?
(I genuinely don't know, its a question - have there ever been flying broomsticks throughout the universe's history?)

@4 - I was thinking the same thing- when riding a flying mount or gryphon/wyvern/whatever - the mount itself is animated enough to distract you from your character model being so stagnant. But with a broom, no flapping wings = pretty boring looking ride.
That said, it's pretty cool all in all.

instead of a haloween item, maybe it is suppose to come out on the release of the harry potter book. Not a big fan of HP but i did read that blizzard is taking spoilers seriously. maybe developers like HP more than you think...

But Piks, 2.2 isn't coming out before July 21st. Still, it would be nice if they would push it out early. Maybe just for HP fans. A promotional deal. You go to an NPC in Shatt, enter your code on your book(upc code maybe), and boom, you get one. Or so I'd hope.

I would grind any rep, doing any retardedly difficult dailies needed, and do any amount of instancing for this thing.
Which means that it's some type of rare .02% drop from some asshole raid boss, and I can never get it.

this looks pretty cool, but i think they should be for casters only, as a hunter on one just looks weird. give the non-caster classes a different special mount of their own.
