Forum Post of the Day: Notice of legal action
If you aren't familiar with the Shattrath City and its the Aldor's home within, I'll explain. The Aldor reside on an upper level of the city, which is reachable either by lift or by flying mount. Says forum poster Nalle announces:
This is a notice of legal action against the Aldor. Their platform is a danger to all who use it, without safety precautions there is a danger both to residents of the Aldor terrace and the floor below. Many residents have already fallen to their unnecessary deaths, as well as taken expenses of durability in a location supposedly guaranteed to be safe by the Naaru.
But, of course, this legal action is started by a member of the Alliance. Any Horde are long-since familiar with the dangers of in-game elevator platforms via the Undercity elevators. CM Drysc responds to this complaint with:
Well, we are actually taking precautions to help make sure future elevators don't pose such serious health risks. At this time, however, the Aldor elevator is protected by the Sha'Tari Historic Landmarks Act of '28, enacted by the Sha'Tari Council of Self Preservation and Advancement. Our hands are unfortunately tied in these matters.
Hey, Drysc! What about those Undercity elevators, eh?!

Well since they can't create a working plague to create Gorsaken, they have to get new recruits SOMEHOW.

Well at least the CMs respond to the important stuff.
Pity they can't be bothered to responding to posts reporting bugs that appeared in Patch 2.1 and still haven't been fixed in 2.2.

I've know about these elevators and there ability to cause death for sometime now. I had an idea to fix it, it may be crazy, but I think around the elevator it has a large circular gate that gives players a Slow Fall buff when they walk through it lasting just enough time to not kill you.
Yes I know, I am crazy.

Do not jump on the elevator.
Do not walk off the cliff when the elevator pad is not there.
If this proves to be too difficult for you, then you should buy a flying mount.
If you can't master these basic principles in a game then I'd hate to think what you're like in real life. O_O

LOL,the first time I went to shattrath, I went up to aldor and scryer rise. I jumped down the elevator to both, and aldor's jump killed me.
Scryer for life, on all my toons who can't slowfall!

I love seeing the corpses. All those people who couldn't wait for the elevator. Man do I love my bubble-jump. Halo 3 has the Bubble-Shield. Paladins have been using Bubble-Shields for years.

Alliance boats sometimes drop players in the water, which sometimes results in an exhaustion death. The boats are promptly replaced with teleporting NPCs.
Unavoidable elevators in a major horde city regularly drop players to their death. To this day.
Split-faction elevator drops you to your death if you miss it, in a city where you can use flying mounts everywhere--let the QQ begin.

When Lady Sylvannas was contacted on this matter, she merely laughed.
