Don't forget, if you don't happen to already be out and about and looking at real fireworks this evening, the celebration will be happening in Azeroth as well. This evening, I believe every hour on the hour, firework displays can be seen over all the major cities in Azeroth (Booty Bay has been my favorite place to watch in the past, but I'm interested in seeing what happens in Shattrath this year as well). Additionally, there will be free booze outside the city gates, so get drunk and party! And if you haven't done the Midsummer quests yet, don't forget that IcftB will be running all over the world this evening also-- that will kick off around 8:00 pm EST. No matter what you're up to today in-game or out, have a great and safe time, and happy Fourth of July from all of us here at WoW Insider!

Yes, every hour on the hour, starting at 6pm, so say the in-game NPCs.

And if you noticed the Slowfall drinks you can get from Mugs in towns, they can be used for fun stuff. They're instant use, so you can use them while falling, keeping yourself in infinite slowfall. For example, I used it to jump out of Darnassus(behind the Rut'theran Portal), and slowfalled until I was seeing the Fatigue Bar, while still hundreds/thousands of feet above the water, far west of Teldrassil. I had to right-click-remove the buff and fall, and quickly swim back before I died of Fatigue.
I'm sure they can be used for other fun elsewhere, perhaps in Outland. Each mug is infinite use for 24 hours, so let loose!

@3: I used the Slowfall buff to complete the Thunder Bluff section of the "collect enemy flames" quest at 50 - collect the flame while the guards are still running at you, down the Festival Mug, and run off the edge.
Other than that - well, I'm a priest, so I have Levitate, but the drink is nice when I don't want to have to go farm feathers. :)

And now a lot of people are using the beer to get on top of IF. And I've been chain-chugging to see how far across Wetlands I can get. I got almost all the way across it, going North, near Ironbeard's Tomb, so far. It's fun. Also explored the Dun Morogh Airfield, and a big farm area between Wetlands and Dun Morogh.

Not all countries celebrate a "Fourth of July" Holiday, thus it's Midsummer Fireworks, stop being so country-selfish. :)

Oy Im a Swede, hence not American, and actually celebrating Midsummer. And apart from being ridiculously drunk, and eating alot of food, I've never seen anyone shooting off any fireworks for Midsummer ;)
We've also celebrated the Norwegian National day (17th of May) and the Chineese New Year in game so I'd credit the fireworks to the 4th of July.
*turns of wise ass lecturing*
But ok... Midsummers fireworks it is ;)
