I remember my first successful trip to the Sunken Temple. All previous groups had either wiped too many times or simply stopped early -- but this one was different, because of our warrior.

I don't know if he was running out of time because of some external reason or if he'd had too much sugar or what -- but I have never done an instance at that pace before or since.

With two mages (including myself) to AoE, holding aggro must have been even tougher - but he pulled it off. Before he even tapped each of the mobs he was screaming at us to AoE. Before the last death animation had finished, he was telling us to move on to the next group "real quick guys comon lets do this". We needed mana but his rage meter was full. The group pressed on.

We defeated everything in that instance and when the Shade of Eranikus dropped I didn't even have enough mana to conjure a bottle of water. But we made it.

I'm sure the healer helped quite a bit...but I can't be too sure because I didn't get many heals since I didn't really need them. Our battle-crazed warrior also had exceptional knowledge of the instance, which helped a lot for someone who had never seen half the place before (and I wasn't the only one).

Without question, one of the best groups I've ever been in -- thanks to our warrior.

being a rogue I absolutley love a good tank, when I can Unload my entire arsenal on a Boss and have it not even notice me that is a wonderful thing, when I dont have to chase the boss around and keep him off of the healer, that is a wonderful thing.

Warrior tanks esp. because I know what there symbols on the boss mean sunder ect. Druids I am clueless, need to research more on that topic.

Warriors are the hardest, funnest class to play also.

I have to say that Warriors are my favorite class to play besides my main, being a mage. With my warrior I tanked MC-Naxx, and never wanted to switch over, but once BC came about, my new main turned towards DPS. My warrior is 70 however...but he lies dormant.

I hope one day to hopefully revive him!

My main is a priest. Warriors who can multi-tank are the greatest thing that ever happened to me.

This topic and the posts have made my day. Too often I feel under-appreciated as a Prot Spec Warr. I've sacrificed my DPS/PVP capabilities in order to keep mobs and bosses off of other classes. It's nice to know that a tank is appreciated (as much as I appreciate a good healer). Cheers!

My main is a resto druid, but I leveled a prot warrior for BC. So here's my take on great tanks, of which I am definitely not one: they are to be revered and looked upon with awe and admiration. Ok, maybe that's a bit over-the-top, but a top-notch tank is rare. Tanking is hard, and quite clearly, not everyone is up for the task. I know there are other kinds of warriors, but from healer's point of view, there's nothing like a great tank.

Thank you, Wow Insider. Sure, being a warrior pretty much guarantees me a spot in an instance run, seldom are the times that we get thanked for our job.

Good warriors are hard to find, and as a priest, I notice the difference. Keep up the good work guys, and remember... if I stay vertical, YOU stay vertical.

I love Warriors that actually sacrifice money to respec prot or are constantly prot spec. It's probably the best thing a Warrior can do for the realm's community. I know that seems a bit over the top, but there are next to no tanks on my server, but every one that is willing to group is a lovely miracle. Especially if they can hold agro.

I'm a warrior and I love the class. No, I'm not a tank, but I really have no desire to be. I've successfully solo'ed all the way to level 60 and I plan on cruising through to 70. I'm a casual played and yes, I don't have the best gear, yet I still feel I've accomplished alot on my own. Especially with a class everyone seems to say can't solo well. Just remember, don't believe everything you read on the boards.

Forget Warriors, just remove the class from the game and everyone reroll Druids.

That is a great piece of art that really sums up whats great about Warriors. Who doesn't love the person that walks up to the giant evil thing of mass doom and yells "Is that all you've got!?"

That warrior sounds like the craptastic warriors that made me retire my priest when I was pugging back in the day. "my rage bar > than your mana". The warrior had nothing to do with it, it was all your healer. He probably retired his warrior or just pvps now because raiding guilds thought he sucked j/k.

When I play my feral druid now, I almost always try to let the warrior take a break from tanking if they're anything but prot spec. It wasn't until I rolled a shadow priest that I started to highly appreciate how much fun it could be to actually play that spec in 5mans (feral druids or prot pallys telling me to DPS while they heal made a huge impact). So to return the favor, I always try to let the tank take a break and have fun as well. As long as I can hold the aggro off them, I see no problem with letting them demolish a target instead of me. :D

I love warriors (even in PVP when they're against me). I'm a mage and I've been running with a great tank/warrior since Hogger and have leveled at basiclly the same rate (we're both 45 right now). He is able to hold off things while I nuke from a far and he's good about waiting for mana and keeping up with the extras in instances that happen to aggro to me. Instances are easier with him since we know how to work together.

I've had my share of people who do not need to be playing Warriors/Tank either, but mostly I love my warriors who run with me.
I love the holding of aggro and I LOVE the fact I do not die as much as much as I would when I solo. I love being able to give away my blacksmithing things I make to the warriors and kept them well taken care of so that when we do run They're well equipped to handle the mobs.

As a good tank (and arms-spec to boot) I really hate when people try to tell me how to do my job....Usually I find time to direct dps'ers while spanking the boss....

OH! And one more thing - There are waaay too many people running instances with warriors that can not tank- For some reason, my rogue tanked a Gnomer run....

With a warrior main, this makes me very sad...

Mages love our tanks, though I'm sure the affection might not always be returned. Without them, we would die in about two seconds every single time... Having a tank you know and trust is the most valuable thing you can have.
