WoW Moviewatch: Northrend video (not really)
Know why I love you guys? Because when you go too long without hearing new information about the next patch and expansion, you just go out there and make it up.
This video says it's by Fanatik, who you may remember has leaked some info about upcoming content before. This purports to be a video of the next expansion, situated in Northrend-- except that it's completely and totally fake. Some parts are better than others-- the last cinematic is ripped straight out of WC3, but the main screen looks OK, at least until you realize that it too is chopped together from the previous Warcraft game. Boubouille has a list over at MMO Champion of where everything in the video comes from, and it's all completely fake-- Fanatik didn't even create it.
Still, it would be nice to hear some official word from Blizzard about what's coming next, wouldn't it? Until then (probably around Blizzcon, if my instincts are correct), I guess we'll have to make do with this.

Yea, there's no "the". That's like saying The Kalimdor. And besides, Blizz would come up with a way cooler name than that, like "The Chilling Fear" or something. I don't think Northrend WILL be the next patch anyway.
The stuff where the guy is running around through the green areas with the crazy plants is probably part of the Emerald Dream. Notice how we haven't heard anything about the ED for quite a while now? I bet it'll be in the next expansion. In fact, the whole expansion may be about the Dream.

First of all, these are not the same persons, the fanatik posting the Tier 6 videos is not the fanatik posting the northrend video.
Wether or not the name was purposefully used to spread doubt i don't know, but they're not the same persons.
3. No they actually very recently discussed Emerald Dream and how the idea, for now, pretty much was scrapped.

Brannoc: *Kelyas* Will the Emerald Dream come into play soon?
Tigole: Not any time soon but we do have plans for it. We've actually done a lot of work on the Emerald Dream but we scrapped what we had for bigger, grander plans.

That was a waste of time. A minute straight of pure nothing that was the log in and character select screens, sandwiched by shit we've already seen before when WC3 and FT ere out. This video is a poo sandwich.

If anything that's going to be the next expansion. 70-80 we'll be kicking the ass of yet another night elf, Queen Azshara. That probably includes the goblin capital of Undermine, that other little island by it, and the missing EK lands. Maybe we'll see some non-killable Pandaren since China doesnt let you kill pandas in make believe.
